This is a brief post that calls for all Nigerians to put on their thinking caps and see what is really going on in Nigeria. To do this you need to look beyond the decoys and smoke screens that are abound currently.

We are all aware of the recent announcement made by a coalition of Muslim Northern Youth directed at people of the Igbo Tribe resident in the North of Nigeria. This announcement demanded that the Igbo People vacate Northern Nigeria.

Firstly for those of you without a great understanding of Nigerian geography know this. There's nothing like ONE Northern Muslim Nigeria. Many regions considered North by other Nigerians are not. Indigenes of these regions regularly disassociate themselves from being called North and consider themselves MIDDLE BELT.
Secondly many indegenes of these regions are Christians and not Muslims. If Nigeria was to split (and I do not support this) you'd see that the "North" is smaller and has less political clout than they like to make out.


Now to the subject matter. The So-called Northern Youth's announcement was directed at the Igbos but it is all part of an elaborate plan to blind side the Yorubas.
It has become clear to them that Buhari has been severely weakened due to health problems and is no longer able to effect the office of President. Constitutionally speaking Vice-president President Osibanjo is now the de-facto President of Nigeria!! This is a fact that many of the so-called Northerners can not stomach!! Unknown to many a cabal in the Senate tried to get Osibanjo to resign office months ago. Osibanjo refused and even had to make a public statement to the effect that he was not under pressure to resign.

When this approach failed they devised a new and potentially deadly ploy. Using the IPOB agitation ( which I also don't support) as a decoy the plan was to create civil unrest in the some Northern states via the quit notice to the Igbos. This civil unrest a bit like the Boko Haram crisis gives them multiple opportunities. Listed below.

1. Involvement of the military.
Not to long ago there were rumours of a military coup in progress. Even Tinubu and other notable politicians came out to make public statements denouncing military involvement in Nigerian democracy. The plan was to use the military to oust Osibanjo under the guise of martial law.

2. Vote of no confidence new elections.
With a civil unrest brewing in the North constitutionally Osibanjo can be impeached with a Northern replacement for the office of President.

Understand this the Muslim North speak with one voice. The announcement made by the Youths was a carefully planned thing that had been pre-vetted by powerful politicians. Politically speaking the only current threat to their dominance is not the Igbos but the Yorubas. Be wise and see the chess moves.

Awolowo never won a federal election. How then was he denied

Abiola was never declared winner of the 1993 election. IBB annulled the election before collations of results was concluded. How then was he denied Nevertheless, we held the nation hostage until Obasanjo became president.

IPOB is Igbo and Igbo is IPOB. Anyone of them is Igbo enough and can take the bashing for Igbos where need be.

Peradventure Igbos get Biafra, IPOB members alone will not constitute the citizenry.
