Election: Soludo leads in NTA survey

It was another plus for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, as an opinion poll conducted by the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) gave him an edge over other contestants.

The result of the poll, which showed that Soludo led the pack by 30 per cent, also saw incumbent Governor Peter Obi of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) coming second with 22 per cent.
Action Congress (AC) candidate Dr. Chris Ngige, polled 18 per cent; while Mrs. Uche Ekwunife of the Progressives People‘s Alliance (PPA) and Mr. Nicholas Ukachukwu of the Hope Democratic Party(HDP) had 10 per cent apiece.
Confirming the poll in a telephone interview, a top official in the programming department of the NTA, Mrs. Tayo Daramola, said the poll was conducted via text messages.

“We asked people to send text messages indicating their choice of candidates, and the result came in largely from Anambra and other states, showing that if the election were conducted today, this is how the leading candidates were likely to perform,” she said.
A similar but controversial poll was earlier conducted by Holler Africa in conjunction with the Dozie Anambra Professionals, had in December placed the candidate of the PDP ahead of others in the forthcoming February 6 governorship election.
However, the previous poll was condemned by other candidates who alleged that it was sponsored by the Soludo campaign organisation and that it did not reflect the true choice of likely voters in Anambra State.

Gizza break, when did NTA become a credible pollster or an unbiased news outlet.

Simply put, NTA is the propaganda arm of the PDP.

What an insult on the intelligence of the good people of Anambra State.

OK please who should we listen to? the warped poll of arm chair critics who only believe that elections are only free and fair when their prefered candidates win?

The people of Anambra have chosen Soludo already and all who don't like it can go hang.
