"Man I am beginning to get tired with this whole search of a thing . Mehn its really driving me crazy" Edward murmured standing beside Hakeems car after a long day.

"I am tired as well man but we can't give up now. We can't just let that person get away with what he has done. Whoever it is deserves to be purnished accordingly" Hakeem encouraged his friend.

"I won't even be complaining if it was someone else I am suffering for but that ungrateful Alex ? I just feel demoralised anytime I remember all he has done to me" Edward complained.

"I understand things from your point of view bro. but please don't be like him, try to do this for the sake of your love Sharon may be this is even the right opportunity to prove yourself worthy of her love in the eyes of her parents. Besides you know you have to help me track this guy and purnish him so as to serve as a warning to any one that will want to do same in future" Hakeem convinced.

They have been searching for Khalifa and his dad for the past two weeks now but haven't heard or seen them. They were getting tired of the whole thing especially Edward.

The two friends were still talking when they received a call from an unknown number. Hakeem wasted no time before picking. He spent two to three minutes on the phone before hanging up.
"Man what's up with that scream ?" Edward asked his friend anxiously.
" Its from the air port " Hakeem replied.

"Yes, yes what are they saying ? Did they find them ?" Edward kept the pressure.


"We don't have enough time to talk now. Get into the car let's go to the port" Hakeem said starting the car's engine.


These guys had really done so much to catch Khalifa and his dad. They had gone to every airport and submitted pictures and names of suspects in case any of the faces in the pictures is seen, they should be informed.
One of the pictures submitted was that of Khalifa their friend though Hakeem didn't liked the idea but Edward had insisted.
They have just been called from one of the airports and were on their way to see what the reason for the call was.


A journey that was supposed to last for thirty minutes lasted thirteen minutes. They hurriedly alighted from the car and from a distance, they saw men gathered with uniforms and at the middle of those men were two other men in personal clothes and on a closer look, they could see that the men on personal had chains on their hands. Hakeem and Edward increased their speed and their eyes didn't believed their sight.
"What ? No, someone should tell me am dreaming. No I know their might be some mix up somewhere" Hakeem said.

"Khalifa ? why wasn't I told that all this while, my friend is the criminal I have been searching for ? What a small world!" Edward said.

"Come on man, why do you sound that way ? Don't tell me you believe our friend is capable of doing such. I will rather have the officers clear my doubts before jumping to conclusion" Hakeem said turning to the uniformed men who stood looking at them. "Officers please can you tell us what is going on here ?" He asked.

One of the officers cleared his throat before beginning to explain.
"This is Mr Gerald and on the left is Khalifa his son. These two are accomplist and are the masterminds of all the scam case that happened to Mr Alex. They were caught trying bto escape the country hours ago and from the amount of money they were carrying, I believe that Mr Alex isn't the only victim"

The friends couldn't believe that their very on friend was capable of such crime.
"Khalifa why ? why did you choose to ruin your life this way ? You are a good guy and you know it but don't want to be yourself. Now look at the mess you have gotten yourself into" Edward cried.

"Khalifa tell me it's a lie, tell me its a mistake. Tell me that these guys accusations are all wrong." Hakeem cried with his firmly gripped on Khalifas shirt.

The officers couldn't see anymore of the drama so had to save the situation by dragging the two criminals into their car and off they went.

Edward and Hakeem had a very silent ride on their way home, they couldn't say a word to each other due to the shock. Their eyes were wet and soaked.
They went straight to the hotel where they lounge and after showering, they were a little calm and were able to talk to each other now.
Edward remembered that Alex had not heard of the news and so he asked Hakeem to tell him since they were not good together.

Mr Alex was becoming a shadow of himself, he was gradually losing weight and his pot belly was now taking a smaller shape.
He was sitting on the couch in the sitting room with his hands on his cheeks. He was in deep thoughts as he had always been since he suffered the scam, his wife and daughter were at the dinning table after a meal and were discussing issues as they affect them.
A call entered his phone and he quickly picked when he saw the caller's ID.
"What !!!, please if this is a joke you should know am not in the right mood for that." Alex screamed in enthusiasm like he just won a lotto on picking the call.

"I am not joking old man. As I speak to you now, Khalifa and his dad are under custody awaiting their fate." The caller who happened to be Hakeem explained.

"Please tell me where they are now let's meet there. This is the most exciting news of the century" Alex exclaimed.

After the call, Alex looked up and saw his wife and daughter standing and wondering what the problem was with him. He couldn't just.
"Alex why are you this happy ? This is the first time I see you put up a smile after what happened to you. What could be the reason ? Have they found him ?" Mrs Alex asked.

"My dear Edward and his friend have succeeded in finding that idiot. Please I don't have much time to talk now I am going straight to the station now" Alex said picking his keys.


Sharon watch her father walk out of the door . She was very happy that her father had found Khalifa but was happier that her boyfriend Edward played a very vital role in finding him. She hoped that after that, her dad was finally going to accept Edward into their home.

Edward and Hakeem returned to the station and met Mr Alex already there. He had been ranting up and down and if he was allowed, Khalifa would have received beatings from him. The officers had to hold him back to avoid complications.
He moved to Edward and Hakeem immediately they arrived.
"My son, I am very thankful to you for your help to me.I cannot thank you enough for all the suffering you went through in helping me but I know your reward is divine." He said to Hakeem forgetting Edward.

"Sir you are welcome but I think that guy over there deserves all the gratitude. He was in charge of all the search and I have just been an escort. I think all the thanks should be directed to him" Hakeem said pointing at Edward whose face was on the ground.

Mr Alex gave Edward an ugly stare, it seemed like he was been forced to have an encounter with Edward again. He walked closer to him with a scolded face and manage to say
"Thank you". He didn't even gave Edward the opportunity to reply before he walked off.

Edward was able to manage the situation. He was expecting that from Alex so it wasn't a surprise to him.



Days later, Khalifa was put in prison and was to be under hard labour for two years before release. Gerald on the other hand was discharged as he wasn't found guilty of any offense.
