The highly intelligent Abba Kyari who led other policemen to arrest notorious kidnapper Evans has come out to clear more air on information shared by the media about Evans.According to him,90% of the information are false.Below is what he wrote.......

'Friends: There is a Need to Clear the Air on some Issues that are Misinforming/Misleading the Good members of the public who are Passionate about Fighting Crime. Number 1) 90 Percent of all Informations Relating to the arrest of Evans and What Evans Said that's being shared on Social Media and Some Print Media are False. Just like most Nigerians, I wake up every morning and hear Different False Stories on Social Media pertaining to how we arrested Evans and what He Said. 2) The Actual Strategy and Technology we used in Arresting Vampire, Evans and other Big Kidnappers is known to only Me and Very few Senior officers I am working together with in the FHQ. Someone Like Evans would Never have been arrested based on the few technics that were officially mentioned or The ones Circulating in Social Media which are actually Technics already known to Criminals. We've gone ahead of those Technics. Our Real Strategy and Technology used in Picking Evans and his gang members have Never been Mentioned to the Media or Members of the Public, and will never be mentioned. 4) Evans Faced the Media Twice; First when he was Paraded in the Lagos Command HQ by the Force Public Relations Officer and Secondly when he took IRT Detectives to his detention Camps in Lagos for the world to witness him taking the Police to his camp that only him and his boys knows. This is so that in Future he cannot deny acquiring and Operating Kidnapper's detention camps in Lagos. 5) Please I Urge Members of the Public to focus more on what they See or hear from Major Newspapers and Television Stations who have names to protect and avoid the Avalanche of Lies and Fictions that is coming out from blogs & Social Media everyday. Yes we agree Evans is the Biggest and Most Notorious Criminal arrested during the Social Media Age in Nigeria, but there should be some decree of Decorum and Honesty in Reporting News please. After common Ghana told Nigeria police off about the shoddy way they handled the arrest, he now want some damage control. Every single news reporter in the land had media access to Evans and bloggers were twisting the story day and night. And again force worldwide have a spokesperson, he shouldn't be the one making a statement. It look like he tried to ride on the arrest for some quick fame and now heat is on him. Although all Evans atrocities are condemned but according to Winston Churchill, you know how civilised a country is through the way the accused and prisoners are treated.

Damage control after alot of people have lashed out on them for media mismanagement of the whole issue.

maybe next line of action will be "Evans was a case of mistaken identity".

We knew already.
Some of us voiced it out but were hushed.
At a point it appeared more like a smear campaign targeting his tribe even when within the 3weeks of conjuring different news about Evans, we merely saw flashed news of more than 15 kidnappers from the south west......the Ikorodu students kidnap, the Ibadan kidnapping, the single lady that kidnapped little kids in Ikorodu, etc. But Evans was the only focus. The law has same sentence for Kidnapping irrespective of how smart or how much ransom a crook is paid.
It was also obvious when they said his wife was involved and that he confessed so. It conflicted with the High IQ tag being placed on Evans , because even the devil to some extent protects his own.
Let justice prevail.
He who does the crime must do the time....or get hanged. Shikena !

This obviously is a poor damage control to cover up the shoddy way and manner his arrest has been handled. Abba Kyari doesn't need to impress on us, a different narrative from what we already know. The whole world knows that the Nigerian police force, is a clueless, unintelligent and useless security outfit; no need trying to paint it good until it is overhauled and staffed with intelligent and educated officers. Not the miscreants taking selfies with a criminal like they just met some Hollywood celebrity.

This is not damage control but to clear the air of the many misconceptions, fake evans's interview and social media trials going on about the notorious billionaire kidnapper
