When you beat traffic light, you give other road users a false sense of security and this could lead to serious disaster.

Tears clouded my eyes reading this. This is an old man hustling with a car he probably bought on loan, one of his children might still be hassling him for money and the landlord might be on his neck. Funny thing is many of these taxi drivers don't even have roofs over their heads, they sleep in their cars.
I just pray that woman doesn't use her superior economic status to twist the issue. Cos honestly, this is Nigeria. She might walk free and not pay the man a dime.
I just pray the man has opportunity to smile happily again very soon

The reason why baba is crying is best understood by anyone who has family under his care and has very little to sustain them with.

Even if the lady in question can afford to pay for the repairs, the time taken for the car to be back on the road can be 24hrs to a week depending on the damage and availability of parts.

For all you know, there is no dime at home and baba's earnings today was to put food on the table for all to eat for the first time since yesterday.

A Taxi driver could not control his emotions after his car was bashed by a woman in Lagos. The accident happened few days ago on Akin Adesola street, Victoria Island, Lagos. A female Slot executive was driving from the opposite lane, she missed the traffic light (maybe ignored it) as it turned red. The Baba, taxi driver, was driving through the green light, believing it was his right of way. Unfortunately, one second can change everything as his car was hit in the process.

The old man broke down in tears reportedly asking why that had to happen to him. Sympathizers who gathered to see what happen felt for the heartbroken taxi driver.
