Congrats on your installation, bro. You have gotten good advise already, but let me attempt to add some more:

Dont rely on your inverter to know know the voltage of your battery. Inverters tend to give a higher volts reading of batteries, giving you a false hope that your batteries are optimally charged. Try getting an independent battery meter as well. You can try the type Jefferyz mentioned or just get those small ones with digital reading from Arena.

Finally, i see that you made your earlier post about your fridge by past 10am. Not a good practice. Power your heavy loads between 12 - 2pm when the sun is at its peak so that the draw from your solar can be sufficient to power your loads and still charge your batteries.

the timing you gave varies largely on the location. Here on kano at around 8a.m to 9a.m the sun is at its peak, infact it can fry egg. So let him not take your time except u guys are in the same terrain.

If I may ask, why would you prefer a 24v to a 12v system? 24v means he would need to connect his battery (at least 2) in series. He is using 1 battery for now. So his 12v inverter is in order. He could look at the possibility of upgrading in the future though.

It is best you get an external charge controller or change all your panels to bigger wattage and a simple design this time around in two set wrt the two MPPTs

i need advice.
I have the following setup:

8.1kw Solar Panels (300w x 27)
10kva Growatts inverter
10kwh batteries x 2 (2 nr - felicity lithium batteries)

I want add more solar panels/increase the my PV array to 12.6kw
and increase my batteries size from 20kwh to 30kwh by adding another 10kwh felicity batteries.

The old setup is about 18 months old, i'm just wondering if it is wise to mix old and new lithium batteries after 18months of use.

I used the Fangpusun FLEXmax solar charger controller, which has a lifespan that depends on a variety of factors. These factors include how close you run it to the maximum open circuit voltage, how cool it runs (which is determined by the location), the protective devices you have (a surge protective device can help), and the area of the city you live in (some areas are more prone to lightning strikes than others).

I have issues with my flexmax60, had for 5yrs now and still going. The issue is I recently upgraded and added another cc (felicity) with a different array of panels, ever since the fangpusun flexmax fan keeps huming every now and then, even at night, even when it producing zero watt. I think it has to do with the settings.

I disconnected the temperature cable from the cc and this stopped it (the fan)from coming up at night. However, it still comes up alot during the day.

I dunno about websites, if you live in an area prone to lightning strikes, the results are there in the form of damaged inverters, TVs etc after a thunderstorm.

Also you'll notice a lot of strikes during rain.
