Dont know why but whenever Lagos state introduces any vehicle theres always a shout for IVM- they have about 5 states around them that haven't patronised them fully (just the usual PR), it's like they only do blackmail marketing

Any company can meet up if the sales are guaranteed especially to a state government.

It's should be big cos one danfo will pack everyone in the bus stop thereby reducing the number of buses on the road and traffic too.
It has enough space to bear luggages. There's a door at the bottom part, it's really a large space.
It will be safer. With the way kidnapping and one chance is at an all time high, abeg with this you can be at least 70% rest assured.
More jobs will be provided.
Less fights with danfo conductors.
More money to the government.
Less buses for agberos to harass.

We have a long way to go, nice move but the people's ways need to change as well. How will these new danfo's handle all those market women who load all types of food stuff from Ketu and Oyingbo market. Unless Ambo will get another type of bus for them.

THE AGBEROS WILL HAVE ISSUES AGAINST THIS BUS AND WILL VENT THEIR ANGER AGAINST IT AND WANT TO DAMAGE IT IF THE STATE DO JUST ONE SMALL PETTY MISTAKE

I think @torres89 has a valid point about the possible difficulty of local assembly. Issues of capacity, delivery time frame, technology, quality of the vehicles, after sales services, costs etc are serious considerations that will affect choice of contractor to do business with.

Suppose that the Turks gave LASG 60% credit for tenure of 3 to 4 years plus 2 years warranty, service team to be based in Lagos on the Turks payroll with shipment of 500 buses over 4 years, will you as the governor forego these for a local assembler?

Governor's in Nigeria may be willing to give contracts to local assemblers however there are many more issues that bear on the final decision.

You speak as tho they didn't order the danfo buses. Or did they just go to the showroom and pick them. If fact, up until now, the vehicles are still being expected.
