No sir, they are not the same.
Thank you, in my own understanding , pay as you consume shouldn't have a validity period attached to it (like the monthly, weekly, I pointed out in that first comment). Consumers should be given the freedom to monitor their consumption

People have been very excited about TStv for the past few days, but I'm very apprehensive about it all. I've warned the excited ones to be ready to be disappointed. Like you rightly said, pay as you consume should have at least a longer validity than 30 days.

Honestly! Same here....I will surely miss CNN & TLC cry cry
Once it has BET and Investigation Discovery, I'm good. But I will be a bit wary, will probably wait for a month or 2 before jumping on it. It seems too good to be true. Let other people be the guinea pig and come and tell their experience

they operate on a different platform, multichoice only have rights over satelitte channel not telecom broadcast, the technology that will be used by Tstv according to some is hbb, which hybrid or fusion of satelitte and telcom to view television, I believe channels like bein sports that will broadcast the football leagues will be on the telecom site as such dstv has no right over them

Pls I need to borrow this for one olodo throwing fatwa all over one thread like that

Thanks

Why should it have a longer validity? So they can run outta business quickly right?

Their pause features should even be limited to less than 10 times per month. This is Nigeria, if light is stable now, it would have been better...

The decorder will be sold for N5000 and recharge of 3000, 2000, 1000 and 500 available, there is no special bouquet, it is pay as you go.

The technology is the Hbb TV tech, Hbb is combination of satellite and internet service for TV service, Tstv will run on 4.5g network every subscriber will get 20g of data for 3k monthly, the data can also be used for video calls and wifi.

If all Tstv is saying comes to fruition dstv will be history in Nigeria. By the way Tstv I learn means Telecom satellite television
sounds too good to be true

Lemme just be looking.

Sadly, this is not far from the obvious truth. I was quite annoyed, that after 2 weeks of their initial lauch date, nothing concrete seems to be forthcoming from Tstv, and from the obvious truth, I'm not really surprised. But I can't hide my sadness that things of such still happens in this country. You can imagine, just because of the selfish interest of few individuals, the interests of hundreds of thousands of people have been dashed. God will help us in this country of ours

Just get richer and enjoy full package of dstv premium bro.. .

Can the data be used for browsing? That is, can it act as wifi and connectible to phones and laptops?

I'm definitely dumping dstv for this.

I'm still sticking with dstv because I anticipate a sharp drop in price because of tstv. tongue

All of them always lie about showing you live EPL, UCL matches but at the end of the day, they disappoint. Na only dstv dey show matches. That gotv should get an award for the most useless cable tv.

1, is going to use both satellite and internet connection a new tech called hbb

2, the 20 gig is not bonus, is pay as you go with recharge of 3000,2000,1000,500

3, yes it has wifi

4, that bridge has already been crossed that was why there was so many postponement before now, but now that DSTV just lunched pay as you go obviously tstv has won the war

5, it will be everywhere in Nigeria, via satellite abs3 west and internet

Hope we won't be disappointed this time again as they did before but the frenzy now is high any where you go

Correct me if I'm wrong but I read somewhere the tstv is only going to start off in places like Lagos, port Harcourt, kano, owerri so it's not going to be available in all places in the country for now.
