if u read the story well, u'll see that they were forced and fear was instilled into them. Children have a feeble mind and are likely to always believe what adults tell them. Besides, if they had disclosed the encounter, then more than one person would have died during the explosion. Let us just console ourselves with the saying that "everything happens for a reason."
