The Niger delta militants are the claimed agitators from the oil rich region of Nigeria, they are said to call on the attention of the world to see the injustice of the Nigeria government against the region.
If I can remember vividly, this agitation and restiveness started far back in 2005, after some prominent youths in the region realized that the developmental nature of Lagos, Abuja are due to the money gotten from this region. That why will some human being be this heartless to the extend of divirting resources from one region which it is neglected to developed another far away from the host communities of this wealth, that they will fight for this injustice.
To make their grievances known to the world and international communities, they started kidnapping the white oil worker without killing ( they only fight and kill the armies who fired at them). But normally release after the federal government and state government interventions. This continue to a point where USA then president George bush Jr, gave a warning to obansanjo, that the lives of USA citizens should be protected. Obasanjo try all what he can by deploying military into the creeks, all effort was put by obasanjo to bring this to an end, all to no avail. He now decided to pull one of theirs son as vice president ( running mate to yaradua).

After yaradua was made the president in 2007, he called all the governors of the region to abuja to seek their opinions on how to tackle this issues, this let to the granting of amnesty.
The amnesty programmes were introduced. Despite them ( militants) being treat to society, they were accepted by the USA government (USA don't allowed terrorist into their country) to study what ever course they chose to. Some of them were sent to Ukraine, UK, Philippine to study what ever course they chose to. These country did no see them as a terrorist but freedoms fighters.

In the case of book haram, I have no idea what they are fighting the government and the people in the north for. But I believed they are also agitators with no tangible demands. Are they fighting the government for locating abuja in the north or they are against the northerners feeding the nation with their agricultural products.?

If Amnesty is granted today, will they be accepted and treated the same way Niger delta militants were treated,?. Will these country especially USA accept for them to enter their country knowing fully well that they have killed so many people and thus, their citizen lives will be in danger?. Where will the money to grant this amnesty to these book haram come from? Will it be from the export of groundnut, and yam or from the sales of crude oil.? Will they be pay as per militants?.
