It seems ugliness is a criterion to winning gubernatorial elections in Edo state.

Since 1999, beginning with Lucky Igbinedion vs Lucky Imasuen.

The Ugly Lucky Igbinedion won

Then, Adams Oshiomole vs Oseriemen Osundor

Yet again, the Ugly Oshiomole won
