PastorAIO: intereisting, an atheist siding with a rc PastorAIO: But when they are out of their depth they resort to insults and toxicity. In fact that is how you know them. When you say something and their response is a personal insult then everybody can take it for granted that they have nothing with which to answer your argument. That is where the discussion should end for everybody to see their vacuousness. do you mean like this: PastorAIO: Knack that straw man correct. Don't worry I dey your back. We go give an combination chop. Two left jabs followed by a right uppercut and finish off with a Glasgow kiss to to nose. Next time the straw man comes looking for trouble he'll think twice. PastorAIO: ^^^ insults, toxicity, personal response, vacuosness ha ha, you are so duh aio, laugh 1 Like |

MuttleyLaff: Nairaland's Gods in their infinite wisdom decided that I was deserving of a spontaneous ban for no reason. I saw it as an opportunity. An opportunity to take a break from this place. Now I feel a lot more refreshed. So what were we even talking about? Yahweh, you say, is self eternal. I still haven't heard the meaning of what self eternal is. Is there anything that Brahman is not? note: I got brahman conflated with Brahma. |

PastorAIO:The god of Nairaland works in mysterious ways PastorAIO:I dont know, you tell me PastorAIO:That stint in the Nairaland slammer seemed to have affected your recollection I know, I havent said: Yahweh, is self eternal but just to be 110% sure, I did a search with my moniker, but it came back negative I think whoever told you: Yahweh, is self eternal is saying, Yahweh, is eternal and self-existent PastorAIO:Probably a misspeak, done by whoever you quoted PastorAIO:Is there anything...? Like what? PastorAIO:Tut tut tut. That's sloppy |

Ubenedictus: the lies just keep flowing so you dictus consider selective scripture to be false, of course you do and show me my horrible interpretation of the verse i posted: Lev_26:1 Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God. johnw74: 1 Like |

johnw74: I believe that you would save yourself a whole lot of trouble if you found out what a Straw Man really is, and what it means to attack a Straw man. Until then you'll suffer the misfortune of feeling insulted by innocuous statements. |
Re: Some God Questions by johnw74: 11:51pm On Mar 10, 2018 |
PastorAIO: your false replies are because you don't have any truthful replies you say your statments are innocuous such as: aio: ha ha, aio you are so duh that you contradict yourself from things you have just recently said, which i reminded you of, and which you are replying to, much laughter it is very hard for some to tell the truth: Joh_8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 2 Likes |

Num_23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Tit 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; Heb 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: 3 Likes 1 Share |

God is good: Luk 18:19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God. 1. Jesus was speaking from His human perspective 2. He was testing philip 1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. 3 Likes 1 Share |

The curious thing about liars is that they are the first to make a claim that they can never lie. So vociferous in the defense of their integrity, yet the facts speak otherwise. 1 Like 1 Share |

28“Truly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the children of man, and whatever blasphemies they utter, 29but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”— 30for they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.” Mark Chapter 3 When evil has so confounded a man's mind that he can no longer tell good from bad then he is ready to commit the unforgivable sin. 1 Like |

PastorAIO: yes indeed, and a man's mind can no longer tell good from bad when he calls God a liar, and your calling God a liar is the same as saying He has an unclean spirit Rev_20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. |

The Euthyphro dilemma is found in Plato's dialogue Euthyphro, in which Socrates asks Euthyphro, "Is the pious (τὸ ὅσιον) loved by the gods because it is pious, or is it pious because it is loved by the gods?" (10a) The dilemma has had a major effect on the philosophical theism of the monotheistic religions, but in a modified form: "Is what is morally good commanded by God because it is morally good, or is it morally good because it is commanded by God?"[1] - Wikipedia Is a lie a lie simply because it contradicts the actual facts of a matter? Or can a statement that contradicts facts still be called true simply because it was god that made that statement. The first position is that which allows that every one can ascertain truth from lies by examining whether it accords with facts. While the second position deprives man from being able to tell truth from falsehood. It is a particularly heinous form of gaslighting which results leaving its victims bereft of any sort of moral sense. In effect it creates the opposite of religion, its leaves people benighted and shrouded in the darkest ignorance. |

Divine command theory (also known as theological voluntarism)[1][2] is a meta-ethical theory which proposes that an action's status as morally good is equivalent to whether it is commanded by God. The theory asserts that what is moral is determined by what God commands, and that for a person to be moral is to follow his commands. -Wikipedia 1 Like |

Re: Some God Questions by Kobojunkie: 12:57am On Feb 04, 2023 |
PastorAIO:Note that my response is based on that presented in scripture. 1. The righteous — the pious of scripture —, those who obey God's teachings and commandments, are loved by God because they are those who obey God's teachings and commandments — God's love is for those who obey His teachings and commandments. 2. This isn't a dilemma as far as scripture is concerned. 3. In the context of scripture, all that is proclaimed by God is by default True, hence all that contradicts that stated by God is of lies. |
Re: Some God Questions by Kobojunkie: 1:09am On Feb 04, 2023 |
PastorAIO:1. That may have been an attempt by the other at indicating that God Himself is eternity — the one from whom all life springs forth. 2. Morality has nothing to do with holiness as instead morality is of the laws of men. Holiness, as far as scripture is concerned, refers to a state of being in complete, or what we would consider perfect even, compliance with God's Law and specification — His teachings and commandment --- as given to a particular people. God's Law refers to a contract/agreement that clearly defines the terms and conditions of the relationship between God and Man, as put forward by God Himself. Exodus 19 vs 6, for instance, is a reference to the Kingdom of God, a Nation of Priests set apart from the rest of humanity as a result of their obedience to His Law and Constitution, The Gospels of the Kingdom of God i.e. Jesus Christ. 3. YHWH is God's Law of Moses —the National Constitution of the State of Israel in the Land of Canaan —given by God to the children of Israel. YHWH is an everlasting covenant God made with the people in the land of Canaan. |
