It is obvious the person of Nnamdi Kanu has been made inadvertently popular by the same force who wanted to cage. Putting Kanu in prison gave him an undeserved popularity. It was a mistake especially keeping him against a court order.
After much thinking I have the following ideas of stopping him. Remember it is only a personal one.
The FG should overlook Kanu just like they overlooked the Shetima or so who asked Ibos to leave north. They should drop their charges against him and see him as one who does not deserve their attention and hence inconsequential. No need wasting time on him. It is evident he has no external support as feared by FG initially. He should just be seen as 'Nwa guy'. Ask any Ibo guy he will tell you what 'Nwa guy' means. A time will come if FG has got no case against him and he fails to realise the Biafra (Eldorado of a country) he is brandishing about to his followers, they will become despondent and their number will start to dwindle. By natural attrition, this will fade away.
In achieving the above his International Passports should be released to him. Kanu would scheme out of the country with the promise of going to meet those who will help achieve his course. This he will do to keep his suporters in suspense and to give them false hope.
In whichever country he travels to, FG should set machinery in place to ensure he does not return. They should deny him visa to Nigeria. Good enough he has British passport. He should be treated as a foreigner not worthy of visiting or residing in any part of Nigeria.
Give this his nonsense time and he will fade away like others, Uwazuirike comes to mind.
Thank you.

The FG has long forgotten that nonentity... Why do you think he has yet not been picked up and bundle back to Kuja prison after violating his bail conditions.

the only thing that can stop KANU is a rejection of Biafra republic in a referendum which we both know is impossible.

let the referendum come and you will see 98% voting to seccede.

You are very wrong, He should be returned to jail and be tried for the crimes he committed(treason). The law should prevail. by the time he spends 5 years in prison, he'll probably die of hunger and boredom. His fellow ipods will forget him just in 6 or 7 months. That's what they did to him when he was in jail...they held one or two protests, gave ultimatums and made empty threats and after some months, they all got hungry and tired and returned to their petty businesses. The FG is just wasting time with the jobless idi.ot.
