The truth about your region is that the villages are so backward that most times i equate them with the hausa's i do see in Gombe villages.

Not just ibadan alone but the entire western region is backward rural village.

And yet your people keep trooping to the western region daily for their source of survival. Isn't that ironical?

So the Jews, Chinese, Arabs, Lebanese and other foreigners that come to establish their businesses in Lagos and other parts of Africa are doing so solely for survival abi? as if there are no yorubas in other parts of Nigeria, in PH alone na una dey do cabu-cabu and obioma tailoring job pass, you guys even have a whole community there..not to mention some parts of the East like Enugu and predominantly in the North...stfu with this idiotic notion that only Igbos move out to other regions, the only reason Igbos come to the so called SW is because of Lagos which is the center of gravity for all Nigerians for obvious reasons- more Federal presence and the sea port that brings in cargoes and wares mostly owned by Igbos...after Lagos the rest of the SW is a negligible slum, only Ogun has a semblance of decency and industrialization due to its proximity to Lagos...Osun, Ibadan( old money relic/glorified slum), Ekiti, Ondo and the cities are relatively dense foliage habitations dotted by inland mud houses and rusty corrugated roofs with urban presence far and in between, all primarily GDP deficient enclaves that only perch onto and wean from almighty Lagos to salvage some yoruba pride if any, thanks to the likes of Fayose who stand for the truth, in Ekiti we see IDP camps set up for social welfare to feed the staggering demography of hungry and jobless people from his state, nobody evens gives a flying fu.ckk about yorubas except when Lagos is mentioned.

Rants from a pained soul. Why not just stay away from the rural village you described?

Bro I can understand you were annoyed by some of the childish comments about your people. But what you typed there is making u stoop to their level. Both east and western Nigeria are at par development wise, except Lagos which is a collective Nigerian inheritance hosted by the yorubas. Yorubas and igbos need to declare a one day ceasefire of nairaland hostilities.

Why don't you save your breath for your brother who is a failed gov running a failed state. Ibadan is bad, but its not in your position to say.
Re: Isaac Fayose Describes Ibadan As A Dead City, Asks If Oyo State Still Has Govern by Ologuneruagba(m): 10:13am On Jul 24, 2017
Isaac Fayose is just saying the plain truth. I have worked round the country for over 25 years and retired to Ibadan being our capital city as a Yoruba person. Am presently running an event business here and I can confirm to you that the economy here is sick. One would have expect Ibadan to reap from the largess in Lagos due to proximity just like Mowe, Otto and Agbara in Ogun state but our dear governor is not collaborating with his Lagos counterpart. No wonder, Ambode went far north to Kebbi state to acquire farmlands to cultivate rice to feed Lagosians. Meanwhile, Oyo state is blessed with one of the best agrarian hectares of land in this country. Well, it's not too late for Ajimobi to come down from his high horses and attract industrialist from nearby Lagos to Ibadan. This is the only way the city can become financially liquid again and money will move round as a tonic to wake up all the dying businesses in the city. God bless Ibadan, God bless Oyo state, God bless Ajimobi.

I wait to read comments from unbiased and objective minds living in the city.

Has Ibadan truly lost her glory?

It is very wrong of Fayose to pick a particular place in ibadan that suits his criticism.
Ibadan is a very big city, bigger than some states if I'm not mistaken and over the years, Ibadan has being growing considerably well at a good pace.
There are many places in ibadan that is actually living up to the standard of a city

u are a big time born liar. Nsukka is far more developed than Ibadan. Opi and ezike are parts of nsukka. Nkpor is far more developed than any city in south West (remember lagos is no man's land). Ngwa is a dialect. It's a region. There's no town called Ngwa. It's a region with the capital in Aba. Full name of Aba is called Aba Ngwa.
So stop telling silly lies. There are people like me here that are well travelled and can bust ur lies anytime anyday
If you are well traveled as you claimed you should well know that Isiala Ngwa South is a Local Government Area of Abia State and they are well known to be cannibal(eaten human meat),and i can now see that for you comparing Nnsuka with Ibadan shows that you are dull,Nnsuka with just one flyover, one major hotel Grace Manor along UNN road, not a single double road, the only major road is the one from market straight to Ogururgu road except newly constructing UNN road, not a single factory talkless of company all they can boast of is Okpa and abasha,a single rain and flood will take over every nuke and cranny,a village where every street have it's own King....Can you tell me your own meaning of no man's land? because the last time i checked Yoruba man is still the king and Governor of Lagos state,so if you wanna claim no man's land you should better go to Anambra where there wont be election and continue shouting for your imaginary country,or is it by force for you people to always do attache, attache with Trump, attache with putin, attache with israel and now attache with Afonja city,Beware so that attachment won't kill you tongue

Go and face your ekiti brother who spoke the truth. and for you to compare ibadan, western region capital with ohafia and nsukka shows that the level of backwardness in western region is alarming.
Why don't you leave west alone and continue shouting for your imaginary country over there or may be Kanu would have accepted 5states from FG as he claimed may be he will at least secure a job for you in your new country,or may be he will just use you people to make money and run into exile like Ojukwu did during his era by then you will come to know that even for you to sell puff puff here in lagos is no longer allow(what i'm saying in summary is that East have more problems to face than west) tongue

Oyo state was undone when Ajumobi won the 2nd term, he crippled Ibadan coz he believed Ibadan didn't vote for him. He is a master of divide and rule. Over six years there's hasn't been elections at the local government level #koseleri. It is a shame and saddening to look and feel that the Akala days were better.
