The Nigerian presidency has announced that a new prison data management system project has been launched in Kuje Prison, Abuja.

PoliticsNGR gathered that the software, was created by one Femi Ajamolaya and is aimed towards ensuring better management of data in prisons across Nigeria. It is currently in use in Lagos, Enugu and Abuja.

In attendance at the launch ceremony that held on Wednesday were Alhaji Ja'afaru Ahmed, CGP, Nigeria Prison Service, Rosalyn Wiese, DG International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Ofice, Dr. Yemi Kale, Statistician-General of the National bureau of Statistics, Chief Okoi Obono-Obla, SA on Prosecutions, Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Ag. Secretary of the ACJMC and Mr. Akingbolahan Adeniran, Rule of Law Advisor, Office of the Vice President.
