For those commentators in this forum who have never participated in or understand Nigerian politics but who tend to speak and act as if they are the only ones that are sincere about restructuring I have the following to say.

I hope you have learnt a lesson or two from the fact that during the constitutional review exercise that took place in the last few days the Senate has refused to devolve power from the centre and initiate the process for genuine restructuring in our country.

These are the hard facts, hidden obstacles and bitter realities about the struggle that some of us that are in the field have been facing and complaining about for the last 25 years!

From henceforth let it be clearly understood by all, including those that desire restructuring but who gave never participated in Nigerian politics, that we can never achieve it through the existing constitutional structure or the National Assembly.

This is because the system is rigged and designed to protect and preserve itself and because the core north effectively has a power of veto in the National Assembly which it will always exercise in order to block any form of restructuring. It is this point that people like Nnamdi Kanu and other ethnic nationalist leaders came to appreciate long ago and it explains their "hardline" posture on these issues.

The bottom line is as follows: restructuring will not be given to us freely or on a platter of gold.

It must be taken and if necessary it must be taken by force.

Finally mark this: if it does not eventually come then I say let us cease to be one nation.

I would rather live as a free man in an independent Oduduwa Republic than continue to live and die as a slave in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

the country have multiple problems, the only lasting solution will be division, that's the bitter truth many do not to accept, the problem is not just the elite and the masses like some presume that just one of the many problems.the core north enjoys being in control and not willing to stop at anytime soon, it's high time we stop lying to ourselves, let there more than 20 agitations in this country because the problem is more than 20

No. The problem is more than division.
You think we would get better as separate entities with the set of leaders still clinging on to power?

What we need is revolution.

Nnamdi Kanu is asking for referendum but what really is it?

referendum /ˌrɛfəˈrɛndəm/
noun
a general vote by the electorate on a single
political question which has been referred to
them for a direct decision.

I bet many of his supporters are not aware that the yoruba and the hausa man would still decide their fate.

We need REVOLUTION.

Majority of Nigerians are too lily livered to face the truth.

And the truth is we either break up this country peacefully or it breaks up forcefully.

Present crop of politicians will never rock the status quo that benefits them and their cronies.

This country 'as it is' can't get better with present political structure and anyone who thinks otherwise is living in a fools paradise.

Those of you that are shouting restructuring, please how market? The north created the constitution and stamped it with democracy which is a game of numbers. Consequently, the north has succeeded in given themselves the veto power to what ever they want. I tell you again, you'll shout restructuring till thy kingdom come.

Revolution

Who will be revolting against who? The last time a certain chap from the East called Ojukwu started a revolution against the North for not restructuring Nigeria, the rest of you helped the North to fight him.

One thing is clear. Everyone will eventually face the same choice Ojukwu faced 50 years ago

"Accept Nigeria exactly the way the North wants it or breakout and fight for your freedom"

Hear ye the voice of reason and of a Youth(FFK).
For the Senate, Hse of Reps and the Assemblies will never stop cutting corners of the constitution until the Military comes in to our
R-E-S-C-U-E.
2019 Election Campaign Debate will be wholesale adoption, not adaptation of either The U.S Constitution or The West Minister U.K Queen's Constitution.
Our present Legislators seem like jokes. They want Chaos and from what I see on the ground, the Youths of Nigeria will teach them a leason.
Immediately now, The sw, se, ss, cs, Taraba and others of like Minds should by their Assemblies establish:-
1, Anti grazing laws like that of Taraba and Benue.
2, Appoint State IGP, like Accountant General, Attorney General and Relevant State Commissions to back it up.
3, Establish Population Commission.
4, Establish own SIEC, made up of equal representations of all nationally registered political parties in the States and indegenes of the State.
Etc.
