The drama at the white house seems not to be coming to an end as another senior staff resigns from the Trump administration. Just 11 days after his appointment as White House communications director, Anthony Scaramucci is forced to resign in the wake of a replacement of the former Chief of Staff Reince Priebus with John Kelly, a retired four-star general who had been serving as Trump’s secretary of homeland security.

According to White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders in a statement. “Anthony Scaramucci will be leaving his role as White House Communications Director,”.
“Mr. Scaramucci felt it was best to give Chief of Staff John Kelly a clean slate and the ability to build his own team. We wish him all the best.”

Reports from some news media reveal that Scaramucci’s removal was at John Kelly’s request. It is normal standard protocol that the communications director reports to the White House chief of staff and so the arrival of Scaramucci into the white house altered the arrangement as Scaramucci reported directly to the president, breaking protocol.

John Kelly unlike his predecessor is seen as one that would not condone Scaramucci’s behaviour especially as it affects his office.

During the weekend there were reports that Scaramucci’s wife had filed for divorce. Scaramucci’s removal may be a sign of relief for some white house staff whose jobs were been threatened by the former communications director to the white house.
