Meetings Meetings Meetings all the time with nothing tangible to show of.
God is coming to lead Biafrans to their promised land, a land flowing with milk and honey.

One day, you're all going to wake up from your delusions. Unfortunately, by that time, the world would have moved on and you'll be 50 years backwards as usual.

War, you won't get. Biafra, you won't see.

you are fraying nerves with this unintelligent assertions.
Firstly, you failed to acknowledge the root cause of instability in the Niger delta. It's not just oil,it's the environmental degradation brought by that exploration and which value is not felt by people suffering it's negative impacts.
Secondly, you wrongly assumed that finding oil in another place will stop the agitation by the Niger delta groups. Isn't that a diabolical statement. You should ask what govt has done to uplift the people that are suffering the carnage of the oil exploration. That's what justice entails.
BTW, Nigeria must not be oil oil,we must create manufacturing industries, technologies and stop capital flight, so that the little money we got can be home with us.

the person u quoted does not know what capital flight means, stop wasting sense on him

So, what's the difference between Niger Delta youths like Asari, Tompolo, dudafa etc and elders like Edwin Clark? They are all greedy rogues if you ask me.
spot on, that edwin clark is the worst very manipulative, he is looking for way to control this govt the way he control GEJ ,i hope they will see through him. There other groups in the region they can use to checkmate him afterall what benefit has his leadership brought to his people over the years, except personal gain for himself and a few others.

The Government is also useless, why not address the environmental issue in the Niger Delta rather than this never ending amnesty nonsense.

Only Anambra isn't owing salaries in all of the southeast. How would the south east automatically become a land of milk and honey when food is not coming from the north and import and import are not coming from Lagos and Rivers ports?

His quote wasn't because he cares about the Niger Delta and what Ben Bruce as a Niger Deltan said about his own people which is true but again what effort has the subsequent Governments made in addressing the remote causes for such agitation.? Instead they prefer to pay some few trouble makers to keep the peace .
Once you've decided not to do that which is right , you've only exposed yourself to all sorts of danger.
The Federal Government is akin to a rich man with too many businesses in a particular area who constantly pays gang members and extortionists so they don't disturb his business even if he's ripping the people off. The Nigerian Govt is operating like a criminal enterprise in the Niger Delta and like every criminal enterprise they'll pay the price.

There is nothing like Niger delta, these group elders and elites from oil states always short - change their people for their own personal gains, and ordinary man in oil producing state continue wallowing in poverty.
why not hold meeting in warri ?

more importantly Ijaws has successfully hijacked everything , they are the face , voice, representing everything about Niger delta.

The government can keep on greasing palms after palms just to placate these people, the blackmail will NEVER stop as long as we have no other major means of sustenance.

I remember an article Bruce wrote sometime ago about the "dictatorship of the minority" (something like that) where he opined that "unless Nigeria finds oil in as much quantity elsewhere in the country as there is in the Niger Delta, the region would continue to hold the country to ransom". There, he made a case for the propriety of oil exploration in the Chad basin and other such places far flung from the ND.

He talked about the abhorrence of nature to the concept of singularity and how such situations, wherever they occur, breed nothing but trouble and alot other undesirable stuffs. Reason why in nature we muat always have such opposites like man and woman, forest and grassland, desert and ocean, day and night, black and white, rich and poor, etc.

As long as this situation of singularity/monopoly as regards our means of income as per location and commodity persists, this cycle of blackmail and intimidation in return for quick cash both from the elders and youths of the region will continue to be our lot.

Go get some other thing to do. Earn a living for goodness sake. Newyork has no oil. Texas has some. The average Texan is no better economically and the Newyorker has no desire to grab his oil. Lazy lot. Blackmail ko, blackmail ni. Sit there and don't develop. These militants or agitators are the greatest agents for true change and development in this country. And they will force Nigerians to work whether we like it or not. I support them 110 percent. Months ago when hunger was ravaging they were dancing around diversification. Now that oil prices are steadying, the curse is back and everyone has forgotten. What rubbish.

You maybe right on your own way, but 100% resource control is the best way to guarantee total peace in the Niger Deltan.

FG should stop wasting its time and do the right thing. Or they will keep solving same issue over and over again.

The same way when you leave your father's house for the first time wondering how you will cope, then ten years later regretting why you didn't do it much earlier. And they say Nigerians are brave, hardworking people, adept to risk taking. Till today I am yet to see that in the people called by that name that hold tight to daddy's central rule, command and control and mommy's crude oil allocation. Useless big for nothing people. At least the igbos want to risk it. Thank goodness.

My brother, our Niger Deltan leaders are disappointing us.

They should speak fire and not mere meetings. The militants are ever ready to blow all the pipelines and bring down oil production to zero.

100% resource control is the only guarantee for total peace in the Niger Deltan.
