PRESS CONFERENCE BY KANO POLICE COMMAND

1. ARREST OF NOTORIOUS BATTERY THIEVES.
A team of detectives had arrested a gang of notorious battery thieves based in Kofar Gabas Kibiya, Kibiya LGA of Kano State. The gang headed by one Abubakar Mohammed has 4 other members who specialize in breaking Mosques, Shops, and residential houses in the town to steal battery cells. The suspects were arrested while 6 batteries were recovered from them. They all confessed to the crime and investigation is in progress.
2. Aliyu Yusuf criminally conspired with Mustapha Zakariya, Abba Baban Danjuma, Muhammed Inuwa, Bashir Muhd and Nura Danladi all of Sheka Qtrs Kano, armed themselves with cutlasses knives and fan-belt, went to Kwasin Barki Qtrs and robbed residents off their valuables, monies, handsets and inflicted injuries on some. The suspects confessed to the crime and investigation is going on.
