Barring any last minute change, ailing Nigeria's President, Muhammadu Buhari might be back in his country next week.

This was disclosed by Senator Ben Murray-Bruce representing Bayelsa East at the Nigerian Senate.

Murray-Bruce popularly referred to as the 'Common Sense Senator', revealed that there will be a high-powered meeting between the Nigerian Senate and President Buhari when he returns.

According to the Bayelsa state senator, the meeting was sacrosanct because of the continued hardship in Nigeria and how the country was lagging behind in its development.

In his words: “Nigeria has not really made any progress in the last 2 years. I think we are in big trouble right now.

“When the President gets back, we would need to sit down with him and have a conversation. There is no point having a conversation with anybody who is not a president.

“I am thinking the Senate. We will have a conversation. A bipartisan team will go and meet with Mr. President and have a conversation with him. Not APC senators meeting the president but the Senate meeting him and have a conversation on the future of Nigeria.

Mr. Murray - Bruce should just sit down with his fellow Senators who feed on the ordinary Nigerian. He might consider paying the loans his companies took and never paid back which somehow contributed to unemployment in the country.
