Can Udom Emmanuel Be Rigged Back To Power In 2019? by calabardick(m): 5:59am On Aug 08, 2017
I chose the title of this piece carefully and deliberately because it's only in an election rigged in his favour can Gov. Udom Emmanuel be returned as governor of the state in 2019. For, the only means of winning election by PDP over the years is by wanton manipulation of the electoral body, INEC, and mindless unleashing of state terror on innocent voters during election to have their way. However, happily, in this change era, that possibility is rapidly growing abstract. They might not be in a position to deploy the federal might to intimidate, threaten, oppress, suppress and crush opposition elements and their supporters again.

So, when PDP goons brag that Udom Emmanuel will emerge victorious in the 2019 polls, what they have in mind is that the madness, charade that they orchestrated in the state in 2015 would be repeated, that they would have a CP Gabriel Archong who would act their chief security strategist and executioner;a REC Austin Okojie who would play the role of the chief election planner and manipulator for them. They could be thinking of re enacting the ugly scenario in Uyo local government in 2015 where INEC officials were given fake election materials to take to polling units while the genuine materials were handed to PDP operatives to fill and allot figures(votes) as they like, so that whatever took place at the polling units made no sense. That's what they have in mind but time and events will tell.

In Ibesikpo Asutan local government, a former commissioner in the state and PDP apparatchik would be empowered, mandated and protected by security agents to lead armed thugs to all the wards, polling units in the local government and violently carted away election materials and INEC officials to his residence where the real election took place and and the opposition elements like Spinner, Emmanuel Atakpo, Promise Frank etc who dared him would be dealt with by his thugs. The respected former governor of the state, H.E Obong Attah, would be barred from exercising his franchise, he would protest but nothing would change. At the end of the day, PDP operatives would fill whatever figures they like in the INEC materials in their possession.

In the Oron federal constituency, a serving commissioner in the state would be given the charge. He would be given thousands of armed security agents complemented with armed thugs. He would go round all the wards, units in the federal constituency and violently carted away election materials and officials to his well guarded residence at Shelter Afrique estate in Uyo where the real voting would take place. The election materials would be filled appropriately. Whatever that took place at the polling units would be inconsequential. UP PDP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In Mkpat Enin local government, a lawyer and former commissioner in the state would take charge. The genuine election materials for all the wards, polling units in the local government would be handed to him while INEC officials would go to the polling units with fake materials. The real voting in the local government would take place at his residence and he would sign the result sheets as PDP polling and ward collation agents for all the polling units and wards in the local government.

In Ikot Abasi local government, fake materials would be sent to all the wards and polling units in the area while the genuine materials would be handed to some PDP apparatchiks to do the needful. Nsima Ekere wouldn't be able to vote. He would protest but nothing would happen. No real election would take place at any polling unit in the local government. PDP riggers would have their way. That's what they have in mind but time and events will tell.

In Eastern Obolo, a former chairman of the local government would lead militants to run opposition elements out of town and do the electoral process as he like unchallenged. He would be fully guarded by security agents and his armed thugs.

In Nsit Atai local government, a former chairman of the local government would lead the PDP rigging squad in the local government. He would lead his armed thugs with full protection of the security agents. Fake materials would be sent to the ward and polling units while the genuine materials would be handed to the chief rigger for the local government to do the needful. State terror would be unleashed on Sunny Elijah and other APC chieftains. They would deploy the federal might to have their way.

The same pattern would be applied in Nsit Ubium. Someone like Umanah Okon Umanah wouldn't be able to exercise his franchise. There would be wanton manipulation of the electoral process by the PDP apparatchiks with the brazen connivance of the electoral body. Federal might would be deployed to SILENCE APC leaders and supporters. There real election would take place at the private residences of some PDP operatives. APC would be outrigged like in 2015.

The same thing would be replicated in Etinan, Nsit Ibom and every other part of the state.

PDP as a party is not used to free polls. They only know how to fix elections using electoral and security officers. But whether or not they would be able to compromise the electoral body and deploy the federal might to have their way in 2019 would be told by time and unfolding events. In other words, the fate of of Udom Emmanuel in 2019 is hanged on the way capacity of his party and fixers to deploy the federal might and outrig the opposition like they used to do in the past .Where rigging by them wouldn't be possible, then he's a goner.

2015 was a different ball game cause people were happy with Godswill Akpabio then. Now I don't think the feelings are the same, just ask any body if he or she is happy with Udom u 'll be shocked with thier responses. propaganda, lies and scams is wat people are complaining of now. Apc lies every where even in pdp controlled state like akwa ibom is wat people are complaining of.
