1. We do not know the state of health of the President. We can only speculate.

2. Going by the above, we can rightly speculate that the President may be unfit to continue to lead because he has not done the minimum expected of a leader that respects his followers, since he left for London in May: a direct address reassuring us that he's recuperating.

3. If the foregoing is true, then the constitution is very clear on what should happen next in order to avert power vacuum or political uncertainty that Acting Presidency can offer at its best.

4. Why then is that provision of the constitution not implemented to make the 'Acting' we have there now, helplessly beclouded by the shadows of the INACTIVE and unable to take crucial steps or make critical decisions, the substantive President?

5. That provision of the constitution is hard to implement. Why? The Federal Executive Council required to trigger the implementation is largely blindly loyal to the INACTIVE president.

6. What then is the way forward?

a. We continue to pray for the speedy recovery of the President so he'll switch to ACTIVE mode as soon as possible. And if he doesn't till 2019, we should be prepared to endure the consequences of the power vacuum and political uncertainties that will be created by his continued absence.

b. Encourage the President to resign to preserve his revered integrity and provide him the opportunity to attend to his health properly, without the burdens of leadership.

c. Encourage the Federal Executive Council and the Senate President to invoke and implement section 144 of the 1999 constitution (as amended).

Finally, If we can't see through any of a, b and c, then we should be prepared for the deep shit we'll eventually find ourselves in.

QED.

Buhari is long dead..

He's still alive. As a staunch Muslim, his death can never be shrouded in secrecy. He has to be buried at most 72hours after his death. Besides, we've seen his pictures recently. What we can safely assume however is that, he may not be in the right frame of mind to continue to lead.
