This is the type leadership Vacuum those opposed to Buhari's indefinite absence have been talking about. There is reason why a country had a Vice President, God forbid but just imagine if Osinbanjo plane crashes on this trip there will immediately be a complex leadership vacuum which can brew a lot of other complex problems but Buharist have refused to heed common sense on this issue
You have raised an excellent point but will others see things from your point of view? I can see people saying, nothing bad will happen, Buhari will return immediately. .... well Nigeria likes being defensive than proactive.

I hope he sees what Rwanda has achieved by cutting down corruption significantly and that he asks the Rwandan president how the country was able to do it.
Unless Nigeria cuts down corruption and wastes, there will be no development.

Paul Kigame is also a tyrant...he clamps down on dissent...

Heck..dude had to alter the constitution so he could run for a third term.

Even if you are doing ok for your country, serve your term/s and leave the seat for another.

We still have PMB don't we? He is still the president all that would need to be done is for him to return from his leave immediately should Osinbajo die.

However Imperialists who poisoned PMB in London will prevent him from returning to the presidential seat.

Which poison?
As educated as you are you also swallowed this propaganda!

There can be no vacuum, go and read ur Constitution.

If he dies the senate president takes over, if dat one die, anoda take over...

It is an essential duty he must perform. Nigeria must remain visible as a leading country in Africa. God will continue to protect, guide and preserve him and PMB to deliver Nigeria from corruption that is killing us. Just yesterday, news broke that EFCC discovered that a serving Permanent Secretary has N664 million and $138,000 in his account! Let's keep praying for Prof Osinbajo for strength and grace to keep our flag flying!! He is truly patriotic, diligent and focused. God bless him and PMB

You are just playing ostrich with the truth..Our constitution doesn't have any place for an indefinite acting president ..so who did Osinbanjo handover to now that he has travelled ? Please let's stop deceiving our selves

Most Nigerians are stuck in military siege mentality

There is no power vacuum

Osibanjo can make decision for the country from anywhere in the world. This is the digital age people, he is a phone call away

Plus if a leader is needed on ground the constitution empowers Saraki to step in

I thought Nigeria practices continuity of government, is that not why we have the number 1,2,3,4 e.t.c citizen of the country, if the President and Vice President are not available then it falls on the Senate President, we also have the Speaker HOP and others following after that.

You are right on Paul Kigame and I knew of that. But, I will rather live under a tyrant that makes things work for the common man than a liberal that impoverishes the poor. What use, is your human right when the elite deprives you of basic amenities such as water, electricity, roads, and security? Nigerians don't have human right anyway. A country you get brutalized for demanding that public officials live up to the oath of the office they occupy.

The country normally has a vice president and a president for a reason. With the way osinbanjo is working he will run down easily. Buhari didnt even work half as much as he has rundownand ran to London.

#ResumeorResign. Stop taking this country for a ride.

Nobody disputes that, but who's in charge of the country when the president and his vice are both out ofvthe country? President and his vice don't just board two separate Nigerian Airforce 1 & 2 for fun. It's to avoid any vacuum in government in the case of air accident.

As at this moment, Nigeria is without a president or acting president? Do you then blame Charly boy, Deji Adeyanju & their group?

Who hath bewitched us in this country?

Right step in a right direction. But Mr Acting president try and ask Paul Kagame how issues surrounding Rwandan genocide could have been averted. We need to nip ours too in the bud before it blows out of proportion.
May God grant our president the health and strength he needs to fulfil his promises for our nation.

I would have been shell-shocked without the last part of you post.

Anyway, my argument is that Rwanda might be doing better than Nigeria, but both Buhari/APC and Kigame are tyrannical.

You don't have to be a tyrant to make things work. We need strong institutions, not strong men (Obama)
