Tell me one country in the world that will seat by and "peacefully" negotiate the dissolution of its republic and I will wait. Even Abraham Lincoln had to crush the south when they wanted to secede from the United States during the civil war. That's what nations do. They defend there territorial boundaries from all enemies within and without. If you think I am lying go and tell the Chinese to let Taiwan, Hong Kong, Tibet and Xiangjiang to secede and see what happens to you.

Like I said earlier, I am a student of history especially of warfare and if another civil war happens in the the South East, the region will bear the brunt of it.

First of all, on the economic front, a land locked region with its rain clogged, red clayey soil will not be capable of feeding all the indigenes living there just like in the last civil war. Then when you take in the fact that most of Nigeria's vegetables and proteins come from the north you are talking about massive starvation. So should the Fed govt decide to completely blockade it we are talking of a humanitarian disaster especially considering the fact that there is more mouths to feed than in 1967.

As if thats not bad enough, the fed govt can order one of the most devastating tools in its arsenal, a total air, land and sea blockade that would bring the east to its knees causing untold suffering for their people and oh let's not forget about the reprisal attacks against all igbos across the country which is what I dread the most. In other words, the igbo people Wil be declared enemies of the state which will justify any form of violence against them (remember what happened in Rwanda?)

Then there is the terrible part which is the military operation itself. The federal govt can surround viagra and pummel enemy positions and possibly some civillian centers from the air night and day without impunity and then add ground forces into the mix and one can only imagine the atrocities that will be committed. For examples of what a civil war in Nigeria will look like go and read up on the war in the Congo.

This is just a brief overview of what will happen if there is a war that's why I am hoping to educate people at all costs. This message is for the extremists who are fanning the flames of hatred, the moderates who might be on the fence, the silent ones who simply look the other way and the naive who can't imagine the unthinkable yet. War is hell.

Good to see you lose your toga of neutrality and meekness.
Now we can discuss with real hostility and no more pretence.
Here we go.

USA is a poor example to use, USA was formed by willingful union of the original states that made union and with full consent of the people.
It's also a nation of migrants who invaded and displaced the original inhabitants of the land, ie the red Indians.
It's a very poor example to compare Nigeria with. A close example to Nigeria is Spain and Yugoslavia.

Chinese is a world power, more than capable of holding those people hostage without international help. Your Nigeria is a failed Third World colonial contraption, you must be delusional comparing yourself to China. A better example would have been Ethiopia /Eritrea scenario. That's what it would be, if you don't get international help.
And even if you get international help to subdue Biafra again, it would be at the expense of your future prosperity, as the world powers would force many economic suicidal policies down your throat in exchange for their help. You won't survive a second civil war without a chronic and terminal economic death.

You are naive, if you think so.
Nigeria is a broke failed state, already at war in NE with Boko Haram, you are already stretched to your limit financially and economically speaking, opening another war front in SE will not go well for you.
This is not 1960's when you got away with many war crimes, this is ICT age, you will be thoroughly scrutinized by the international news media and social media.
You also had not factored the fact that there are many want away groups in SS, if Biafra war ensues, these groups will capitalize on that to declare their own republics or atleast demand total control of their resources as a condition to stay with Nigeria, a condition we all know is not acceptable to Arewa, as it would defeat the very aim of their current forceful union.

First of all, there is more to Igboland than just Biafra, we know Igboland extends beyond SE.
If the East is landlocked, then Arewa is deadlocked.
An Arid area with a teaming population of miscreants and poor people( almajiri), a region that despite billions Nigeria had spent on its agriculture is yet to make the country food sufficient, as the country is still a mass importer of food.
You must be living in stone age of you think the civilized world would help you execute another starvation agenda in this 21st century.
You already having humanitarian crisis in your NE, if and when Biafrans turn the heat on you, your entire NC and NW will be a refuge camp.

You should be ashamed of yourself, if in your diabolical mindset you think you are going to be allowed to bomb civilian positions in Biafra without repercussions like you did in 1960s, you must be a demonic entity living in stone age.

Another thing is that not all NC will fight on Nigeria side. Some are tired thanks to Fulani herdsmen. Minorities tribes in Benue, Taraba e.t.c have been battling the Fulanis for years.
Nigeria cannot survive another civil war

Hehehe see rant. Sooooo emotional like a female. I thought I was arguing with someone who was a little logical but after scrolling through your posts I now know otherwise.

In case you don't know, I don't make policy, I am just telling you based on my study of history and war what is going to befall you should you make another emotional and ill fated decision so you can shoot the messenger how many times you want but the truth is still the truth and calling me whatever you want to call me is not going to change any of that.

Now back to our earlier conversation, if you and any of your ilk think the Americans or the rest of the world will intervene in another civil war then you must be quite oblivious to what's going on in Syria or in Yemen. Sorry pal, but they are only going to make public declarations of condemnation like they always do and end up doing nothing. In other words they are just going to stand by just like they did in Somalia, the Congo or in Rwanda.

Sorry to disappoint you but sovereign nation states will do whatever it takes to defend there territory no matter the circumstances under which they were formed be they the U.S., the Spaniards or the Chinese. And that includes economic sanctions, blockades and overwhelming military force.

Thats why I am posting this to cool temperatures down so that people can think of the consequences of their actions. Most nigerians don't want to go down this road its just a loud minority but if they do go ahead and decide to go down this road then they will face the consequences and it sure aint going to be pretty. If you think the last conflict was bad, wait till you see what civil war in Africa in the 21st century looks like. This time there will be no let bygones be bygones from Gowon it will just be pure unbridled madness and violence and this guys will want to make an example to the rest of the country. So like I said earlier, war is hell and it is my biggest hope that we never come to that river ever again. I'm out.

Say no to war. We are where we are because we have the majority of leaders we elected acting like cowards. All the years that the fulani herdsmen have been terrorizing farmers in Christian communities, how many of our governors and senators from the south have openly condemned it?

Even we the followers are even more foolish. In the midst of this oppression, APC still won the election in two states recently. We are our own problem. We complain about the government bitterly but betrayals will still collect money that will last them for just a few hours and betray their conscience.

We are wicked to ourselves. We act without thinking. We have sold our souls to money. May God judge every betrayals in our midst.

Lol! Look who is talking about emotions. You came here thinking you can use your war scare tactics to force union on a people who obviously would have nothing to do with you.

No, you said what your demonic mind had in stock, your ilks boasted of ending the war in weeks last time around, yet you needed Britain to bail you out after years of failure. You don't know nothing. Your mind is too straight minded, you have no idea the plans Biafrans have for you.

What I'm telling you is that Nigeria as a nation without International support can not subdue Biafra, you manufacture no weapons, if you think the international community will give you unlimited support like in 1960s to go on and carry out your demonic genocidal intents on Biafra, then you better have a rethink. A simple look at how your NE campaign is going should tell you better.

Sorry to disappoint you, your Nigeria is failed Third World colonial entity, it is madness for you to compare with developed first world nations of China, USA or even Spain, who have technological advantage. You import even took picks, You over estimate the capabilities of your failed third world colonial entity, let that sink into your genocidal thick skull.

You are not cooling any tempers, there are no tempers to cool. You came bringing threats of violence, annihilation, genocide, starvation as tools of forcing your expired purulent Nigerian unity on a people whose very DNA is made up resistance to tyranny, impositions and subjugation.

That war you crave for, will come, and it will consume you and your ilks who seek to bring war on an innocent people, hell bent on severing every colonial ties with your genocidal people .

Let this sink in. Your war threat was brought in dead.

Op started by exposing the dangers of war which is an important thing for all Nigerians to be aware of, but took a wrong turn by making it obvious that Biafrans were the target. You could have easily remained neutral and preserved your message. Now some of your audience feel offended and will naturally not absorb the message.

That being said, I believe that a second civil war will be bloodier than the first. Nigeria at the moment cannot afford that! We already have our hands full with Boko Haram issues. War is expensive! Economically, we are in recession, borrowing on daily basis to survive, oil price is low. Militants will likely cutoff oil production during the war, our CinC is not fit, and so on.

Again, I don't think a second civil war will be like the first that will be fought only in the SE. I believe it will be felt all over the country this time. Biafra will be foolish not to export the war to major cities in Nigeria via Guerrilla warfare. If Boko Haram could penetrate Abuja, don't you think that the Igbos who have since after the war assimilated into every single city in Nigeria, eat their food and speak their language will do much more damage? They are more educated and have more population.

What FG should do now is to kick-start a national dialogue that will lead to the restructuring of the country or lobby NASS to... This move alone will kill the Biafra agitation. If you want to cool nerves, that is what you should be preaching now! They shouldn't wait until it's too late, it's getting late already!

Bro, at no point was I attacking anyone I was simply trying to educate people and explain to them what the repercussions of war in Nigeria was going to be. It's the ignorant extremists that tried to turn this into a race war and it's my fault for trying to engage them instead of ignoring them and moving on. I was naive enough to think I could make them understand what was at stake.
I was trying to paint a picture of the scenarios that would probably play out so that people will be forewarned. War is such a horrible thing that you won't wish it on my enemies talkless of your country.

Why bother if you well versed in history you know freedom fighters don't care about death. When you want to break away you have to be prepared for worst case scenario. Did all these scenarios stop movements anywhere else in the worst. Look at Liberia with 3 civil wars.

It's better to focus on factors that can build unity and lessen incentives to secede. Working on economy, political comprise, and good old military force. These keep those elements of fridge. Nobody going to destroy a good system for crumbs.

Abi o. When emotions rule logic goes out the window. Like I said in one of my earlier posts, Nigeria is like a moribund company that needs a shake up at the management level to get it back on track to profitability. I am not for breaking it up and stripping away it's assets.
