Fear grips drug dealers in Enugu By Our ReporterPublished TodayNewsRating: Unrated Drug dealers at Ogbete Main Market, Enugu, have expressed fear that the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control’s (NAFDAC’s) fake drug detecting machine may not accurately determine whether a drug is fake or not. The machine, known as "true scan machine", is expected to arrive in Enugu from Lagos before the end of February. One of the dealers told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu that since the machine was a new technology, it may not accurately determine the standard of drugs. "This is a new technology. We hope that the so-called Nigerian factor will not provide negative results that can send many of our people out of business’’, he said. "In as much as we want NAFDAC to wipe out fake and expired drugs from the market, we also want them to be professional in handling the machine.
