The only armies in Africa that can give Nigeria a tough time are SA, Egypt, Algeria ( and strangely enough Sudan) . No one else in West Africa for sure. Chad ke? They want to surrender their oil?

Instead of you to be at least thankful for buhari for protecting you from foreign aggression, you are here displaying hatred. If Nigeria becomes weak as a result of balkanization or instability as you guys are advocating, we will be highly vulnerable to attacks on three fronts by very aggressive neigbours, all controlled by France, Cameroon, Niger and chad.

You guys seem to forget that Buhari is a US trained general, so you cannot question him on military strategy. What was the point of wasting the lives of your officers just to drive your aggressor to the border and leave them there, for them to settle and plan an attack again. Buhari carried out the best military strategy by showing them that he could take N’Djamena if wanted and Nigeria would not spare them again if they attack us. That is how the Israeli General instil fear and respect on its hostile Arab neighbours.

Israel instils fear on which neighbours. You forget that Egypt in the second war of 1973 did same to Israel by defeating Israel and they had to initiate a cease fire. Egypt decimated their forces and won them. Go and read more. Meanwhile I appreciate Bubus strategy. Thats a way to maintain deterrence. In fact they should have remained in their territory for a while to gain even more concessions from Chad.

I DISAGREE WITH YOU. THE NIGERIAN ARM FORCES ARE HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL.

THEIR SETBACK IS BETRAYAL FROM: THE COMMANDERS WHO SETTLED FOR OUTDATED MACHINERY AND WEAPONS, SYMPATHETIZERS OF BOKO HARAM WHO PASS INFORMATION TO THEM, THEIR SUPERIOR MACHINERY AND WEAPONS WITH HIGHLY CRAFTED SPONSORED SUPPLY ROUTES ETC.

You forgot the Ethiopians. They are one of a very few handful of countries that had never lost a war and about the only country that had never been colonized.
They even trounced Mussolini's army silly during WW2.

I am always amazed on how someone who had never joined the Boys Scout will be lecturing a US trained military general on military tactics.

Chasing the Chadian forces 50km to their capital was a surprise move and in a war, the element of surprise is the most potent weapon. Buhari could have taken the capital if he wanted simply because the Chadians were highly unprepared for a full onslaught. Same tactics was used by Sadam Hussein on Kuwait. Kuwait city was taken in an overnight surprised attack. Same tactics Ariel Sharon used in taken the Suez Canal from Egypt.

If Buhari who successfully defended nigeria against Chadian occupation is a dullard, then what are you? What thing of note outside keyboard attacks on social media have you ever achieved?

Dear Sandhurst trained military tactician,
1.Please in what way is a minor conflict a full scale war?
2. Are we at war or ever have been at with cameroon over Bakkassi?
3. Did you not read and comprehend that the main thing that made him withdraw from his advance and not further plunge Nigeria into an unneccesary war was the threat of courtmashall?
4. Recovering the occupied territories and crossing the border was not enough...until he got close to the most secure city of the country?
5. In all the cases you sited, which of them was not a war situation?
6. Do you remember how the Kuwait war ended?
7. After such invasions, France would clap for him as he rapes and violates her investment? What has the British ever done for Nigeria but polarize it subtly?
8. Do you still think you can lecture me on military strategy?

The question should be 'what has your Father achieved asides birthing a bag of spongehead since he should be in the same demographics as Gen. Bubu?' My whole life is still laid out stretched in front of me, a day at a time.
Nuqqa puleeez!

War is won first by strategy. The NA army were initially confused by the guerilla tactics of boko haram. Moreover, they were also having command and control problems including low moral and internal sabotage.

Now that we know that we lost direction.....Why is it now so hard to accept restructuring or at best divide this unholy union? Bubu came back and start telling us ''the unity of Nigeria is non negotiable" Story that we have heard for over 50years that lead us no where. I weep one more time for this Zoo republic and Animals leading us.

You must be dreaming if you think any president will agree to a diminishing of the powers of the President of Nigeria.

Obasanjo never agreed, Yaradua never considered it.

Even meek Jonathan who spent 5 yrs in the saddle was just playing mind games.

Ordinarily, when NASS separated the Attorney General from Minister for Justice and other constitutional amendments which is sequel to a gradual restructuring, GEJ vetoed it and sued them to the Supreme court.

He categorically stated that he vetoed the amendments because they seek to reduce the powers of the president.

The poor judgement and crass disregard for constitutional authority and common sense at play again by the wild Herdsman turned quota system general .Shagari should have dismissed him immediately and today Nigerian economy would have been the best in Africa and maybe the middle east but Shagari spared him allowing Buhari to again disregard our constitution to overthrow a democratically elected president which was the point where Nigeria lost direction till date ..
It might interest you to know that he wasn't part of the coup plot, he was chosen by the supreme military council to head the country after the coup.

Was he part of the Coup that took out Shagari or he was called in to head the Government after the Coup? I know the Master Coup planner General Babangida was part of the Coup, maybe Abacha too.. But I don't know of Buharis involvement. Pls get back. Thanks

Says who? Get your facts Right! At no time in History can they hold a touch light to the Nigerian Military, one of the most feared and Respected in Africa. Yes Jonathan allowed Corrruption Ravaged some Top brass who actually didn't care about the Boko Haram War and Nunior officers and Boko Haram Captured 14 Local Government Area believing they willl capture the entire Nigeria. Well when Buhari took over how long did it take the Nigerian Military to Recapture the 14Local Government Area? And apart from their Coward Acts of strapping Kids and Young Girls with Bombs to blow up soft targets where is Boko Haram today? Why have they not captured one Single Village again? You might not like President Buhari or whatever, doesn't mean you should change the Facts of History. Thanks

That is the history many don't know or are confused about.

It's not today PMB earned his integrity, imagine being called upon to head a government, by coup plotters after a coup you didn't take part in.

General Buhari was immediately summoned by the President for disobeying a direct order from the President to stop his advance. In his defence the General claimed in the heat of battle he was unaware he had crossed into Chadian territory.

IPOB yoots, can you see that bolded portion? This is the same thing that Buhari will tell your so called ICC, he will claimed in the heat of battle he was unaware he had wiped all Biafrans off Nigerian map. By that time, there will be no single Biafran left on Nigerian soil. Those who have ears, let them hear, Buhari has ear problem, so he does not hear in time.

In responding, you don't "gree to hear word" because the word of the political leader is for the international audience while the intention is to act decisively to deter future acts of aggression

Stop trying to change history please , under Shagari Nigeria had the biggest airline in Africa and the middle east , we had the most equipped airforce only behind Iran , isreal and Iraq in Africa and the middle east , we had the most sophisticated telecoms switching capability in the whole of Africa , No Nigerian knew what a second hand car was yet you come here to spew the lies Buhari cooked because of his selfish desire to be ever disobedient and greedy ... Under Shagari Nigeria was at it peak as giant of Africa so Buhari had no reason to overthrow them and derail our economy till date

Yes we were all that and more, but that didn't stop the Unprecedented Corruption going on. Remember Umaru Dikko? I am not in support of taking out a Legitimate Elected government, but if we had continued, would the Country had survived the looting? Something for all of us to ponder and not just lay the blame on the feet of one person. I was a Teen then and the Buhari/Idiagbon War Against Indiscipline and Corruption seems to be working. I remembered nobody can pee on the Street, I remembered that you can't throw dirt or paper wraps on the Street (see the recent flood cos of clogged drainage system). Nigerians just seems to RESPECT who they FEAR and they seemed to be Terrified of IDIAGBON! 5yrs of that government and just maybe we would have headed to the right direction... But then General Babangida had to come in and basically Destroy everything and Legalized Corruption. Almost 9yrs what did he actually achieved? By the way was BUHARI part of the Coup that took out Shagari? Cos I thought they brought him in to head the Government, but he was never part of that coup. Please confirm. Thanks
