How church turns education into business. Aren't churches suppose to be relieving poor people of stress and helping the poor society?. Now show me one middle class or poor man who can afford this fee and I will call him a rich man. D system have always been the same. British handed us religion to extort from us. Now our churches are doing exactly the same to us. They offer us the word of God in exchange for how money.

The average fee is equivalent to between US$2,380 to US$2,675.

This is very competitive compared to the global fee rates for above average universities and colleges.

Just sad that the continuing poverty rate increase in Nigeria along with zero availability of credits makes it unafordable for most aspiring candidates.

That's one way to look at it, but like you say that is a very competitive cost of word-class education. There are plenty of families (probably 1 million) who can afford it, which is how all these private universities are able to exist.

Now, what govt should do is make all govt schools private, then subsidize the poor students with scholarships and grants, maybe even loans. The federal schools simply won't get better if they remain govt run

I still don't understand why people are complaining that this schools ( private Universities) are expensive.
With constant power supply, comfortable housing, educational and valuable field trip, sport kits with the best sport facilities in d world, Medical service that is way better than the one we get from most private hospitals, sure internet data, valuable books, probably a samsong galaxy tab and above all NO ASUU STRIKE
Then why should u continue to tell me that this schools are expensive?

Jesus gave his life for free but his followers are charging millions of Naira to educate others.

David Oyedepo and Enoch Adeboye were from poor backgrounds and both attended mission schools where education was very affordable.

William Kumuyi schooled in Mayflower school founded by an atheist and the fee was affordable.

Look at how they're repaying future generations?

How many of the tech guys from private universities are making impact in Nigeria?

Let me give you an expo: Most of the startup founders who attended private Universities have their startups floundering after a few years.

They don't have the 'shock absorber' which students of public universities have. Any small thing, they pack up.

All this book stuff we pay a lot of money to study doesn't add value to our lives.
Re: Tuition Fees For New (100L) Covenant University Students 2017/2018 by anochuko01(m): 1:23pm On Aug 25, 2017
Sirs, the environment within CU can never be found in any public university. we lodged in their hostel for four days during their youth convention...no power outage for once, WiFi was always (though no password), all with neat and quiet environment.
Na lack of money dey make person talk down Mr Biggs o.
to go have free education in Austria now one must get almost close to 1m just for a start.
Connection wey person go get for CU sef, you no need hustle to get job.
