Eye facts: Interesting facts about eyes. We do not think much about our eyes until something goes wrong when we realize how impossible it is to survive in this world without sight. Each day scientists are learning amazing facts about our eyes. It is one of the most complex organs after the brain. Learn and share exciting facts about eyes.

Eye facts

The sensory organ of sight, eyes started to develop some 550 million years ago in the evolution process. The first eyes were very rudimentary and were composed of small patches of light sensitive proteins in single cell organisms.

The myth that Carrots helps to improve the eye sight was a myth manufactured by the British to hide their own technology from the Nazis during World War II.

Some lizards can squirt a dark blood like liquid from their eyes as a protective ploy against its enemies
