President Buhari is not infallible. I admit there are some shortcomings in his administration but he is back and poised to work while he attends to his health. A second term for him is not advisable. It may interest you to know that it was officially stated yesterday our dear country, Nigeria, is out of economic recession. That is a positive indicator. The challenge was a net result of the inability of past governments to plan for the rainy day, evidenced by the quick fall in crude oil price and an empty excess crude account (ECA). Politically, I admire his grit to keep Nigeria together but I do not agree with his declaration that Biafra is not negotiable even in the future. For now, his position is in supposed Biafrans' favour because a government premised on a people-based orientation is still lacking in Biafra land. Most Biafrans are either clueless of or deficient of the resolve to building a just government that is wholly attentive to the yearnings of the people. That must considerably change before any crossover. Nnamdi Kanu can be commended for his courage but the humility that ushers in a progressive state is absent in him. He MAY be using this agitation to quench his thirst for power. We must imagine worst case scenarios, too.

Since birthing Biafra now would be tantamount to having a premature baby, we should resort to a civil approach to insist on equitable distribution of Nigeria's resources; equity. Nelson Mandela almost single-handedly did same in South-Africa and succeeded. This is the time to make the best use of those representing the South-East in government. They should live up to the expectation of being our voice. Also, we can complement their concerted efforts (if they can just suspend selfishness for just a minute) by embarking on peaceful protests and ensure media houses cover it. Charly Boy has given us a hint.

Have you ever considered whether Biafrans may be undoing fellow Biafrans? Is such far from the truth when a Biafran governor, commissioner, civil servant siphons resources meant for the up-keep of Biafrans and lives in luxury while his/her kith and kin wallow in penury? A good number of Biafrans are also part of the problem! For us to weather this storm of marginalization, we must be on the same page to a great extent or else, our case would be one of a sustained effort to patch a leaking tank while some members of the same team end up drilling it to have a sip when others are not looking. Excuses of external factors have blinded most supposed Biafrans to see their involvement in this misfortune. Our progression or retrogression is in our hands. Tackling our challenges both from within and not only from without can make the difference South-Easterners crave for.

The problem is Nigeria, the unworkable colonial contraption the British set up in west Africa to exploit the indigenous people of the land.

Before the British came, the Hausa-Fulani feudalist Government of Sokoto was there.

The federation of Yoruba Regions known as the Oyo empire was there

The confederation of Igbo nations such as the Aro confederacy and Nri confederacy were there.

The white man came from nowhere and said we are all ONE NIGERIA

It is not going to work. We are different people with different agenda's and different styles of government. It is time to unbundle Nigeria so that the Igbo man can return to practice the confederation that worked for him

Let the Yoruba man practice the federation that worked for him

Let the Hausa-Fulani practice the feudal/unitarism that worked for him.

We can all stay friends, do mutually beneficial things and manage our selves without having to belong to one country.

Trying to force 3 major ethnic groups with different ways of doing things and different outlook is an invitation to disaster. We already proved this in a civil war that claimed millions.

Nigeria does not work as a nation.
