Eke40seven:
Ghanian sounds have always been incorporated into Nigerian music and vice versa since time immemorial. High life music actually came into Nigeria through Ghana. Fela's earlier works were Ghanian styled high life.

One bottle of baby-oku for you cheesy

The more reason why we should introduce history in schools, may be music history.
Ghanian sounds have always been incorporated into Nigerian music and vice versa since time immemorial. High life music actually came into Nigeria through Ghana. Fela's earlier works were Ghanian styled high life.

Even recently, 2008, Duncan mighty's hit, 'Wene' was Ghanian influenced even has a verse with in Two.

I remembered Tony Tetuilla (if my spelling is right) with Tit Toc did, "Fenfenenfe"

VIP, the Ghanian group did so many collaborations with a lot of Nigerian artiest.

And so so so so many other songs I can't recall.

You know when you are dating someone like Otedola's daughter, you will believe you own the world but the side effect is total delusion.
through Ghana ke ..abeg u wan start anoda tin

Where are the music historians in the house? Let me settle this case once and for all; Nigeria-Ghana music relation dates back to the days of highlife music. Please, do you research.

I have written my own submission about this that the music relation between Nigeria and Ghana dates back to highlife music era. But this is not say that it continues all the times because Nigeria has been able to retain its own unique musical character from its different cultural and ethnic groups that is being fused to produce what is now known as Nigerian music.
