Of course Benue state
You see them. cheesy

99.99% of them are terrified to state where they are from because shame no go gree them. grin

I have never been ashamed to admit where I'm from and who my governor, sadly, is. But ask those who mock Benue where they are from and an honest answer becomes as unlikely as a whale sighting in a desert.

Hang on a minute.. Why should "Nigeria" be to blame for the Benue government's neglect? This is one of our major problems. Everything is a 'national' issue. Everything is a problem with "Nigeria". Courts in Lagos, Anambra, Edo State, Oyo State are not in that condition, but they must all take the blame as "Nigeria" for the actions or inactions of the Benue state govt. Why?

Apart from feeding a national inferiority complex, this habit exculpates those responsible for the neglect - the Benue state govt - while extending blame instead to "Nigeria", and that means it becomes nobody's responsibility. We must stop that habit. Put the blame directly where it lies, and leave "Nigeria" out of it.

According to a Facebook user, Bem Jabez Ordedoo, said he visited one of the Magistrate courts in Makurdi, the Benue state capital this morning and decided to call the attention of the government to it.

He posted the photos and said;

A visit to the MAGISTRATE COURTS in Benue State will bring you face to face to a house that can best be described as PIG HOUSING.

The images below are that of the MAGISTRATE court situated at MAKURDI MODERN MARKET court 3 to be precise.

This morning the whole court was filled with water licking from the ceiling, court attendants had to wait outside for hours as a result of the inhabitable nature of the court at that time.

The CEILINGS are spoilt with no chairs to seat upon.

The building floor is no longer befitting of a place housing responsible people that always patronizes this courts.

At the entrance, one is usually greeted with an awful smell the type that comes from the Toilet.

My appeal to the Benue State government.
The judiciary which is the third arm of our government can not be neglected to this length.

The past administration might have neglected this Sector but the present can do better.

Let this COURTS be renovated and maintenance be ensured.

Structure is everything. We complain about the Judiciary but not that they are tied to the purse strings of the Executive which they are meant to judge. Which Governor, Council Chair or President will truly love to see a free, unimpaired, independent Judiciary, none. But we the people are quick to side with them against the theird arm and the guarantors of our civil liberties until we fall victims ourselves. If we love sports but have no regards for umpires or the governing bodies, just the players, how can we then participate or enjoy the game. Will there be a game at all.

Justice is very sick and also dead in Nigeria. It is almost the worst treated arm of governments. Mainly because of corruption and because Nigerians hate justice and judgment, and also because Nigeria is in deep darkness and so this important thing in Nigeria is the worst treated, neglected because we don't value justice and hate justice and judgment and don't know the importance of true and righteous justice and judgment. But the houses of thieves, robbery and corruption are well equipped and treated
But let us change our ways in Nigeria and kill corruption and also take good care of justice, righteousness and truth.

The Governor should ask them what they have been doing with their budgetary allocation on repairs and maintenance every year..This is the problem of the society very rotten..hospitals will collect allocation to buy equipments, they will buy nothing or order for obsolete items, yet come back to blame the Govt ..this is terrible.
