I like to correct the impression that these unscrupulous elements were scooping from the spilling from the so called ship. Because, spilling won't be tolerated by the ship and Marine Pollution monitoring agency in the country. It's a common practice at the NNPC Apapa terminal for these guys to always tamper and steal from the cargo line whenever any ship call at the port to discharge. This act has been going on for long even with the heavy presence of Government security agencies. I think a proper investigation should be carried out to ascertain the real cause of the incident.
