It is very easy to criticize but if you understand that the President of Nigeria speaks not only for Nigeria when he speaks but the larger part of Africa, President Buhari addressed many global issues and did well to avoid the temptation of making a 'beggar' speech where he would have listed many of Nigeria's problems and requested for aid. This would have not achieved much but would have promoted the perception that Africa is all about failure and asking for aid that never works. |
