Twitter has been majorly known for its brevity, and this comes from its 140 character limit policy

This sometimes annoying feature, will be changed with time. As the social media giant is set to introduce a whopping 280 character feature

Twitter made the big announcement that it has started testing a 280-character limit for tweets yesterday. This effectively doubles the previous character limit. The move was apparently in a bid to help users be more expressive.

“Our research shows us that the character limit is a major cause of frustration for people tweeting in English,” the company said in a blog post. “When people don’t have to cram their thoughts into 140 characters and actually have some to spare, we see more people Tweeting — which is awesome!
