Fellow Nigerians, having take a cursory look at the many happenstances in our dear country Nigeria, I have come to a conclusion that we will NEVER MOVE FORWARD except we allow for GOD'S INTERVENTION through morality and individual/National reorientation.

Now have a look at these posers and see where I am coming from:

1. Why is it that before elections our politicians know all our problems, but after elections are won, they go blank?

2. Why is it that when power is in one part of the country, the other creates unnecessary tension, distractions and challenges to cause failure in governance?

3. Why is it that when one part of the country attain power its immediate constituents believe it is their turn to LORD it over the rest of the country?

4. Why is it that when most people are elected / appointed, they quickly turn their immediate families to managers of the State affairs - most especially in the area of finances, appointments and power sharing?

5. Why is it that once most people taste power for the first time they do anything possible to remain in it irrespective of the people's opinions?

6. Why do many people see politics as the shortest cut to get back THEIR YEARS THAT THE LOCUSTS HAD EATEN?

7. Why is it that love is easily killed and hanged to dry on the alter of politics?

8. Why do most of our leaders become heartless, mean, self-centred and plain wicked after they attained power?

9. Why do most politicians/leaders start thinking about the next election few days after getting into government/power?

10. Why do most of our leaders put in so much to train, prepare and position their children in the best ways possible to keep the family perpetually in relevance in the scheme of things while same hand can't be extended to the citizenry across board?

11. Why is it so hard for the elites to receive punishment for their wrong doings while the rest of the citizens seem to never have an advocate to plead their cause?

12. Why do the electorates not have a free hand to truly elect the leaders after their hearts?

13. Why do the electorates most often appear to be the puns on the chess board of the political calculators?

14. Why do the governed look manipulated to fight themselves to the admiration of the ruling class?

15. Is it possible to ever get the true leaders of our choice from the local government level through to the presidency? EXCEPT THIS IS ACHIEVED AM AFRAID WE SHALL NEVER GET IT RIGHT, COME RAIN, COME SHINE.


I love my country but if we don't Think deep, repent and Give God His place starting from our personal lives, I am afraid we will continue to move in a CIRCLE till the very end.

Nigeria is far too doomed beyond redemption. It is in coma beyond revival waiting to die soon and an inveitable death beyond ressurection. Those waiting for Nigeria to be better should be prepared to wait for eternity.

As for those expecting God to do what he has empowered us to do is laughable. A student expecting good grades from heaven without using his God-given abilities to excel is d height of stupidity.
God has done his part by endowing us with human and material resources we fail to harness.

Many of the world's richest countries on earth are very apathetic to God or religion. Infact in some of these rich countries only d old attend religious services and membership of many organized religion is declining so fast.

RIP to Nigeria in advance.

Don't you get it by now? That is not going to work, you are actually going to have to do some F*@cking work to make a change and one of them will be for Nigerians themselves from the political class all the way down to the common person to stop making Nigeria EVEN WORSE by what they ACTIVELY DO. They don't seem to need God's help to drag Nigeria backwards it seems.

The statement has meant that our leaders have become complacent over time about Nation Building!

Americans talk about the need to perfect their union recognising their union is not perfect

The French preach Liberte, Egalite and fraternite

In U.K. They have over time devolved powers to various parts while recognising the right of Scotland to secede through referendum while also discouraging it through campaign and politics

It won't be better....Igbos are contributing their fair share to the failure of Nigeria and that is what they will use to 'build' Biafra. You talk about APC as if PDP were much better or that PDP do not now make up the top dogs of APC.

You could have a sensible president to lead Nigeria too if you made sure the right
candidates/aspirants make it to the ballot box but Nigerians including Yorubas will not support someone that is not recycled. Afterall, Is the VP not Yoruba? Is the minister or works not Yoruba?

Nigerians built the thorn and stuck it in their own side....Yorubas are included in that. Don't you remember the whole 'change' mantra? Nigerians refused to learn from history or to take the current president to task about HOW he would achieve some of the things he claimed he would do.

This saviour mentality and political immaturity Nigerians have will follow them to Biafra and Oduduwa Republic if they don't replace that with something else now and not later.

Really? How many presidential aspirants were there? Were there any besides PDP and APC?

I'm pretty sure there were over ten at one point but the others don't have a kingmaker or the support of the same old politicians from the 1970,'s that Nigerians love to support.

There were questions about more than his personality and all of them have displayed themselves since he became president.

Why couldn't people support people like Pat Utomi to run again?

I know this may sound unpopular but Sanusi would have been a much better choice than Buhari imho as he is at least an international professional with political experience to a high level. Any president would be from a particular tribe or religion it's the same worldwide. One person can not be all things but the importance of tribe/religion in a president is what needs to be changed in Nigeria as being a deal-breaker because it has left Nigeria/ns backwards .

I don't deny that it will be difficult but will you only attempt something if it's easy? Which countries birth, growth and transition into modernity has been 'easy' ?

Nigerians are far too obsessed with the way of least effort.

In fact that is what lead them to vote the current president in. All he had to do was to feed them promises he couldn't keep and asked nothing of them at a time when everyone should have been required to use their new hope for 'change' to actually be part of delivering it.
