Well, they didn't attack the police or army that's for sure

they didn't come out with molotov cocktails and dangerous weapons

And they definitely haven't been threatening President of Spain , if you want to compare spain to Nigeria , then you must learn to abide by the rules of your country

And all your useless points are good excuse for military to commit murder? Wwere you at the protest? How are you even sure they didn't abuse the government?

another spat of war!
that is a very good suggestion!

and after the war?the Irish govt and people will kill anybody that says that there should be a checking point between Ireland and the UK.
not even the EU and brexit is getting in their way!
meaning that secession was a bad idea in the first place!

This is how a crowd should be handled in a civilized society, it's not here where police will use live bullets, even on young students who are merely protesting.

has ipob ever carries arms in their protest? thank God for China, they are banning all Muslims.
lol brother,u dont have vast knowledge about geo national politics.china is a communist state and i knw that one of the fundamental principle of communism as economic theory is intolerance for religion irrespective of where it fall.the communist world belived religion is the root cause of every snag bedeviling every human society, karl max even went further to claim ,God is nothing but the projection of human imagination and religion is the opium of the people.china proscribe every religion not just islam.during the USSR,the greatest sin u can commit against state is to have religion and this is inline with the fundamental principles of the founding fathers of the communist.the ,federick angels, karl max, vladimir lenin, joseph stallin, nikita cruschev and neon throski.china abhor all religion brother and the founder of modern china mao tsun tung is a free thinker at best budhist.bt i dnt tink there is any correlation btw the china banning of islam and soldiers dealing with ipob terrorist.

I'm ain't a Fan of Politics Section, and hate commenting on any Post from the Section, but I think I'm gonna contribute on this One.

I know there is always tribal Brawl on this Section, and no way you can convince the waring Tribes to see light in the Darkness, but notwithstanding I won't be intimidated to read and move on.

We are mixing things up on this Matter, and being too sentimental with our respective Views on this Post. We ain't seeing the Lessons, rather looking for an Opportunity to win Likes and Shares.

Spain rejected the Secession hands down. They ain't ready to discuss or give a Chance for the Catalans to have their Independence. The Lesson here is; No Country in the World would willingly allow a Part to secede in this modern Epoch.

Police are firing Rubber Bullets not love Bullets which doesn't amaze me because; Spain is a developed Country, an European Nation, and finally the Secessionists ain't threatening by carrying dangerous Weapons.

The Lesson here is; the Catalans ain't stop 'n' search Vehicles to identify the Spaniards simply to maim or injure them mercilessly. None of their Leaders is ridiculing the King or the Prime Minister of the Country also.

They ain't toeing the Path of Sudan, a third World Country like ours, hence if they eventually succeeded, they won't become another South Sudan in Europe. The Lesson here is; chest beating, threatening won't give you what you want in this modern Era, thus War/Violence ain't the best Option to secede from a Country.

Palestinians used Violence to no avail, but they are being recognized at the UN presently because they've accepted to dialogue and be diplomatic with the Agitation.

And the Buhari's terrorists in military uniforms in the name of Python zombies are in south east killing unarmed IPOB agitators agitating for referendum.

Spain did not deployed armed soldiers to do the jobs of police and civil defense.

well for one!the elected leaders of the Catalan are basically sworn to uphold and protect the constitution of the Spanish govt but the leaders of Catalan have disobeyed a recognised court of law of spain! to carry out a referendum
two,the leaders have now declared a secession against the Spanish govt if the outcome of the non binding referendum
three, the use of Spanish facilities to conduct an act of illegality.
how the Spanish go about this mess is going to be big

An average Nigerian soldier reflects the Nigerian society. Cruel and unfeeling. You cannot compare Spain with Nigeria. They are two different countries. The average Spaniard has respect for human lives and for the Law and their country. When they go on protest, they do so civilly. But an average Nigerian cannot be said to have much respect for his country or human lives? How do I know this? The rampant incidents of jungle justice shows just how cheap life has become in Nigeria. Then the number of people that support it just goes to show how heartless many Nigerians are or have become.

Now, let us examine the styles of agitation.

In Nigeria, Kanu's style is confrontational. You can't be aggressive toward the state and expect the state to pamper you. Respect is reciprocal. Threaten the US president and different agencies will start opening files in your name.

In Spain, the style of agitation has been more participatory and intellectual. And even in spite of this, the government is still hostile toward it. Now, imagine that Catalonians are using Kanu's aggressive style of agitation.

Believe me, Spain wont try shiit.
If the Spanish government use force, it will only escalate the cries of secession which will eventually lead to riot. Catalanians who never supported secession will have no choice but to follow their people.
One way or the other, Spain will have to let them go.
For fuucck sake, these guys have been asking for a seperate country for over two centuries now.
It is time to let them go
