Benedict Peters is a businessman, entrepreneur and the Founder and CEO of Aiteo Group – one of the largest and most successful corporations in Nigeria. He has a track record of excellence spanning over 20 years in the commodity and energy trading industry as well as the banking sector.

He has managed to stay away from the spotlight because according to him, he is a very reclusive person. Peters has made it known that he is not a fan of the spotlight, often refusing to be photographed. He is intensely secretive about his personal life, and extremely religious as well. Peters spent several years in the early 1990s working alongside Dangote’s younger brother, Sayyu Dantata, in the Nigerian oil and gas business.

 Aiteo is Nigeria’s foremost integrated energy solution company, and has taken up sponsorship of NFF. The deal is the first in the country sports sponsorship and will be referred to as ‘Official Optimum Partner of the NFF. the contract is worth N2.5 billion over five years,  N500m for each year.
Aiteo Group is also expected to pay the salaries of Super Eagles coaches as part of the deal.

Energy solution company, AITEO Group also acquired the naming rights for Nigeria’s oldest football competition, the Federation Cup. The competition will from this season be known as the AITEO Cup.

The new deal has also given participating clubs something to fight for, with the winners in the men’s and women’s categories going home with N25 million and N10 million respectively. The runner up in the men’s competition will pocket N10 million, while the runner up in the women’s event will go home with N5 million.
