The eye witness saw nothing wrong in taking the pictures of the burning vehicle and the want-away driver instead of helping the poor girl?

Instead of callously taking pictures to sell to ABC network, he could have: 1. Stopped cars and ask for assistance with fire extinguishers 2. Called the local fire service 3. Called the police 4. Alerted other first Responders to the scene.

But the guy who filmed it what did the guy do?

if you look closely,you will notice that the guy started filming the scene when the abitrator was escaping. In the twinkle of an eye it turned into homicide so it is already a crime scene and the guy have to play its part by getting evidence that he scurried away like a dog with his tail between is leg. Without this video evidence,he might deny being at the accident scene and you know how investigations take long time to actually get concluded at the US if there is no video or picture evidence. And as you might still know,we are all digitally propelled now so the guy who took the video might still have acted on instinct,maybe more news will still come up about the case as the trail unfold

No one is asking the man in question to be a hero. Just stop other vehicles and ask them to call 911 that you were in an accident, and your friend is in a burning vehicle.
