It is not new news, that the recent development by the Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha unveiling a statue of the south Africa leader Jacob Zuma.

How many of our leaders statues are unveiling in other African countries?

Why can our leaders think of something meaningful, instead of embarrassing the nation with the global community watching us how we lost our integrity and pride.

To unveil someone statue there must be a reason why a person deserve such honour and what great service he had offer to the society.

Like for example, the former Manchester United manager sir Alex Ferguson who was regard as the successful football manager in the history of English football. The Manchester united board unveiled his statue before the entrance of Old Tafford stadium to honour him for his great service to Manchester united.

He deserves it, because he brought glory and honour not only to Manchester united, also England. He won so many trophies and he gave a great service to his nation too.

To me, the South African President doesn't merit such respect, close to there are numerous legends who merit such respect like Nnamdi Azikiwe, Chinua Achebe, Dora Akunyili and so on. This individuals did an extraordinary support of their society and the nation.

No matter how much money was spend to unveil such statue our leaders shouldn't forget this saying; a good name is better than gold and silver.
