The people of anyama ogbia(coastal community) in bayelsa state are passing through hell right now, their communities have been eroded by flood, their farm lands, properties have been devastated also. There are displacement of indegenes and relief materials and humanitarian service is needed to help the victims.

The people have actually been suffering this menace for about 50years now, the water level keep rising and things keep getting worse.
There are also intermittent instances of massive erosion, this is really a big blow to the people

The niger delta development commission nddc, was commissioned to carry out a coastal reembarkment and remediation project a couple of years ago, they just came with trucks of sand poured close to the banks, down their tools, and eloped, till this day the never did the project

There are many other coastal communities in the niger delta facing similar problems, abandoned and neglected, hopeless and helpless,

Adverse effects of global warming and rise in water levels have led to the loss of many coastal Plains and communities.
