The venture capital that financed and established andela as a promising tech of the future is from the USA....
The partners that gave the start up a viable chance of life are from the USA....
It's like u guys don't know opportunities accessible to u when u live abroad....
Beside what difference does it make if he's from Canada....
Is it not another western country Nigerians will die for....
For ur info....
Most n8gerians priotise Canada over America n its visa is the hardest to get in that country....
Or is that Nigerians in canada don't brag unlike their American counterparts.....

GambaOsaka:Why do you waste your time trying to counter people who can really put you in your place? If you travel to the United States on a non-immigrant visa your first five years will be wasted. You will start standing on your feet after five years. A standard 5 bedroom duplex will cost $70,000 to build in 2017. On a average you can only save up $7,000 annually and that is at your best when you get a hig paying job. Meanwhile after five years you are expected to spend the next two years trying to get an associate degree which starts you with a low paying job with no chance of good saving for another three years. That's a total of 10 yrs already wasted without buying a single land in Nigeria. The other 10 yrs will be spend trying to save up $7,000 annually for another 10 yrs and God help you if you are not married with kids by then. It will become a dream too tall for you. Your zeal and desires will fade as times goes by. This is what almost every individual have faced and many are lining up to follow same destructive path. Think wisely and get something doing in Nigeria no matter how small

As a matter of fact, you are not 'ditching' anything out...you're just trolling!
Re: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by Babaelemu: 5:01pm On Dec 07
please tell them o. Hope they will comprehend and digest the bitter truth!
Re: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by timesup234: 5:09pm On Dec 07
Babaelemu:They dont want to listen. Some will even hit their head on the wall because they cant stand the truth. They want to keep living in illusion. Life is really tough out there. No single Nigerian can boast of $200,000 in cash, including those who have stayed in America for 60 yrs
Re: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by wonlasewonimi: 5:12pm On Dec 07
You can boast of the equivalent in Naira?
Re: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by timesup234: 5:17pm On Dec 07
wonlasewonimi:Millions of Nigerians can boast of that even as pocket change. There is no street in Nigeria you dont have a multi millionaire. Thats just 73million naira. Thats nothing to local traders
Re: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by wonlasewonimi: 5:36pm On Dec 07
Forget about the millions of people who are multimillionaires in your dream....are you worth upto $200k?
Re: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by timesup234: 6:26pm On Dec 07
wonlasewonimi:I can't answer such question in public but I can assure you that if the United States make it compulsory for all her citizens to pay rent per annum 95% of Nigerians living in America will automatically become homeless. Down here in Nigeria we even pay two years straight. Beat that!
Re: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by wonlasewonimi: 6:52pm On Dec 07
Why would they make it compulsory to pay rent per annum do they pay salaries per annum? Your problem is that the abnormal situation of Nigeria has messed you up. You kept harping on about savings. Why do they need to save when they have good social security and credit system and pension to boot. To save for what exactly? It's the poverty mentality that makes us amass wealth and cash unnecessarily.
Can you show me statistics to show Nigerian citizens are enjoying more than US citizens? Abeg go treat your craze this is not funny any more
Re: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by timesup234: 7:10pm On Dec 07
wonlasewonimi:You obviously a learner and know nothing about the US. system. Social security can't take care of your monthly bills after retirement that's why all Americans are encouraged to contribute to a 401 k account. Presently most Americans don't even have $10,000 saved up, meaning they are all facing financial disaster late in their life. Social security might even be scrapped very soon meaning tougher days ahead for Americans
Re: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by wonlasewonimi: 7:14pm On Dec 07
Your case is different
Re: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by Beautyaddy: 7:57pm On Dec 07
I can tell you that Nigerians in Nigeria are enjoying the following:
Best corrupt government system
Best corrupt Police Force
Best corrupt Judiciary system
Best corrupt and Poor Education, Healthcare and Infrastructures
But lot of savings with the poor value in Naira currency.
However, Nigerians in the US are enjoying the following:
Best Rule of Law government system
Best Police force
Best Rule of Law Judiciary system
Best Education, Healthcare and infrastructures
But little savings in Dollars(The Best and Strongest Currency that controls the entire World).
At the end of both lives spent, Nigerians in Nigeria or Nigerians in the US both will leave this earth and be buried with nothing.

Abi ooo. lol
Re: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by timesup234: 1:25am On Dec 08
wonlasewonimi:It is the truth man. The system wasnt built for people to be rich rather for all to be wage slaves. It is a global thing. Within 30 yrs the US. middles class might drop below 30%
Re: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by wonlasewonimi: 4:40am On Dec 08
Not everyone wants be rich. Why? I just want to able to afford anything I desire at any point in time. I dont want the type of Aliko's wealth, it's headache. I don't need 20 cars like Dino, it's just insane.
There's problem in the land when everyone wants money badly...then rituals become normal, pastors deceive people, the likes of hushpuppi and e-money with questionable source of income are being looked upto and praised by the young ones. I see them asking God to pick their calls everytime those ones flaunt the dosh. The whole system is a mess, that's why you are fvcked up in the brain about being rich in the US.

Re: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by timesup234: 12:17pm On Dec 08
wonlasewonimi:Sorry dude white people and americans in general love money more than Nigeria. Obviously you havent been to the United States. Try and visit someday and you will know dollar is their god. They worship it.
Re: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by kroger: 2:13pm On Dec 08
Hahaha, renounce her western residency that guarantees her all the comfort available for a miserable life in a jungle, that is the most foolish thing to ever do, how can you prefer to live in hell than Heaven, I gave up on Nigeria long time ago, I was very patriotic before but the blissful Nigerian dream is not visible with the kind of wicked, satanic, occultic, selfish and blood thirsty politicians we have, even if you have money to set up a business in Nigeria, if you don't do what the system requires which is cutting corners.
Re: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by kroger: 2:14pm On Dec 08
I know there's no place like home but when home isn't inhabitable you can find someplace else and call it home. Everyday thousands of people come into this country from all over the world to call this place home.
Re: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by kroger: 2:14pm On Dec 08
There was a country called Nigeria .. We can keep going on and on..
Re: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by wonlasewonimi: 2:26pm On Dec 08
You are very correct.

Re: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by wonlasewonimi: 8:28pm On Dec 08
Wow! This is a magnificent report. I'm very sure the gap between the wealthy and the poor is not wide at all in Nigeria most especially with millionaires in every corner at iyana oworo.
