For real?

So why is Lagos developing day by day such that some of you even claim the title of developers?

Ogun state has more IGR and poor people.

Now think harder.

Why is the number of wretched people increasing despite increase in IGR.

Guy focus more on CIS and not IGR.
The only poor people scattered around nigeria are the igbos filling up everybody else village selling galla and fake things.
Have u ever asked urself why there is no single ogun state indigin in ur erosion enclave selling gala in traffic or just loitering around?

Thats right, economy is better in ogun

Why CIS and Not IGR Should Be The Focus Of Government

Let's start by defining the terms for those who are not familiar with them.

IGR: Internal Generated Revenue

CIS: Citizen's Income Sources

Now to the main subject matter

It is funny how Nigerians celebrate the rise of the IGR of their states without taking into consideration that a State can have a steady rise in her IGR while her indigenous people suffer hunger eg South West states and the rising able bodied beggars and street urchins, IMO & Abia states and the rising unemployed graduates, South South states and the rising number of militants.

Increase in IGR does not mean increase in the welfare standard of a state.

The most important thing beside security that those in government should focus on, is to increase the CIS of her indigenous people.

Government should focus more on programmes that can enable her people produce and sell whatever marketable goods & services they have to offer in order to increase their income.

When people's incomes increase, it will be possible for them to take away so much burden from the government by providing for themselves some of those basic amenities like good community hospitals, schools, roads, housing etc.

A country where her citizens depend so much on the government for survival, will definitely come to ruin with time.

A wise country, empowers her citizens to take care of themselves and place less burden on the government.

With the so called igr, which states are able to sustain themselves? Check that other thread, and stop self deciet.

All that index means is can the state sustain it's spending without defaulting or cutting spending in that year. The data doesn't determine wealth of a state or citizens. It just about fiscal policy responsibility. The big question is the debt the acquire being used to prudently.

Poor states rank higher on list an example being Katsina over Anambra.

If our governors focus more on CIS, the number of poor people will reduce.

You cannot continue to agitate, burn properties of non-indegenes, mount roadblocks with burnfires and expect "CIS" would improve.

It's not possible.

We've seen countless charts and statistics proving the SW is the most developed in Nigeria and all indices point in the right direction.

Osun state that you guys love to lampoon was even shown to be of higher rating in all indices.

The schools Aregbe had built are second to none in Nigeria.

This matter cannot even be disputed.

Your state government must increase IGR to provide such facilities. If dem both chop the money o.
