There was commotion in Gboko, the customary headquarters of the Tiv country when an associated case with feared infection,monkey pox was accounted for to have hit the nearby government.

The news of the episode of the malady which was shared by a Facebook user, Smith Takema who is situated in Gboko, revealed the name of the casualty as Mwuese Aloo, an inhabitant of No. 1 Agemafa Street in Agedam territory behind police military quarters.

The 20-year-old Mwuese Aloo, aged 20, according to reports, is living at Dan Arrow house in Gboko.

A close relation to the victim, who pleaded anonymity told New Telegraph that the entire family was indeed shocked on how she contacted the disease.

The source further hinted of plans by the family members to rush her to the General Hospital in Gboko for treatment and were reportedly wondering whether the disease may have spread to other members of the family.

As at the time of filing this report, New Telegraph gathered that authorities at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital and the Ministry of Health were making frantic efforts to send a delegation to the area to carry out a thorough examination of the victim to ascertain the authenticity of the report.

Whenever reached, the Benue State Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Mrs. Cecilia Ojabo, advanced for more opportunity to empower her to affirm from wellbeing specialists from the nearby government before preparation the media.

"We don't get such reports from writers, Gboko individuals where the occurrence occurred should answer to our the study of disease transmission unit where the data will come legitimately to us. We have a framework on the ground so I will soon get the official report and at exactly that point that I can converse with the media", said Mrs. Ojabo.
