It would take a while to forgive myself for standing in the sun just to vote this anomaly.

I see no reason why a political party cannot just come out and admit they deceived the masses who trusted them. This government's hide and seek would lead desperate Nigerians into voting a wrong fellow come 2019. As it stands, anything but Buhari, APC and the PDP.

I sincerely wish KOWA would get their acts together and contest come 2019.

you are not alone on this. to think I campaigned for this man is unbelievable, thought the guy will deliver, never knew he was more clueless than GEJ.

What a pity we have the likes of atiku and the other criminals campaigning, we just don't have option, just vote between two thieves.. that's the situation we are right now in this country.

All d money he has spent abroad dem no reach to fix d kind healthcare palaver especially d Aso rock hospital? Continue calling PDP o!

I wonder whether they were planning to only win elections then come and steal and sleep without doing any work so when anything goes bad they call PDP even for issues they (APC and Bubu) are clearly to blame for. That is how a whole CG of Customs and Garbage Shehu claimed that it is PDP that is still in power and reinstated Maina. I blame PDP for still being lethargic and not taking these arseholes to the cleaners!

Thank you for this observation, after all,the APC having been in power for more than 2 yrs now.

The All Poverty Congress aka Association of ProgreTHIEF Criminals, APC has been in power with the worst elements of PDP for over two years.
The looters of PDP's 16 years are born-to-gain saints of APC today.

sunnyb0b0:
Timipre Sylva, former governor of Bayelsa state, has retrieved 48 of his property which the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) seized during the administration of Goodluck Jonathan.

According to PUNCH, some of the property are located in Wuse II and Maitama, highbrow areas of Abuja.

Back then, the commission had slammed 50 charges against the ex-governor and arraigned him before three federal high courts in Abuja.

Sylva, who contested the 2015 governorship election in Bayelsa, had accused the anti-graft agency of witch-hunt and political persecution.

The case was subsequently struck out.

A PUNCH correspondent, who visited some of the houses, observed that the inscription ‘EFCC, Keep Off’, on the gates or fences of the property, had been wiped off the buildings while some had been rented out.

The correspondent, who posed as a prospective tenant, was informed that the rent for the property ranged between N2.5m and N6m per annum.

Sixteen units of service apartments at Plot 1181 Thaba Tseka Crescent, off IBB Way in the Wuse II area of the federal capital territory (FCT), cost N6m per annum including a N1.5m service charge.

The building provides seven hours of power supply from a generator. One wing had been painted while the other was under reconstruction.

“When the EFCC sealed off this property, it was rotting away. However, it was re-opened a few months ago so we started to refurbish the property. We have repainted the property and we have started renting the apartments out,” a guard at the property was quoted to have said.

At a block of flats, which comprises nine units (six one-bedroom and three two-bedroom flats) located at 8, Sefadu Street, Wuse, Zone 2, PUNCH was told that the rent ranged from N1.5m to N3m.

“Immediately the EFCC inscriptions were erased, all the flats were taken. There is no vacant apartment now,” the security guard said.

At a property located at 8 Mistrata Street, Wuse II, Abuja, it was observed that the property was a hotel, which charged between N25,000 and N45,000 per room.

TheCable’s efforts to reach Wilson Uwujaren, EFCC’s spokesman, for the reaction of the commission did not yield the desired result as of the time this report was filed.

His telephone line was out of reach, but a text message was sent.

*EMANCIPATION 2019!! FREEDOM IN OUR HANDS!!*

Perhaps the most audible mantra ever heard in our political history was the 'CHANGE' mantra echoed all over in the several months that led to the 2015 supposed change of government making 'a conglomerate of political party abscondees' take over government as the ruling party.
Did we truly experience any change? Ofcourse, we did! We experienced cosmetic change. A change of name, a change of portfolios, a change of allegiances, a change of party cards but no *true* change.
Like in your favourite movies where a criminal fraudulently purchases new identification documents and travels to a new country yet retains his basic nature as a thief or murderer, our political leaders as they have been wont to do for decades didn't just recycle themselves into political office this time around but assembled the charade of a seemingly new party and sang the songs of change so sweetly to beguile us into hope.
But just as you cannot expect a leopard to change its spots, you cannot expect these same rottened political clime to give us what they do not have-good leadership

We are not absolved of blame because as a people, we did not question facts that lay bare in our faces, we chose to pick what we considered the lesser evil hoping evil will overnight become good.
We had better alternatives. Persons who had proven to have impeccable characters but we dismissed them as selfish because they did not spend as much money, distribute as much bags of rice or belong to the bigger and more popular parties.
That's the Nigerian people we have become. We'd rather support people who throw money around, visit godfathers, Obas and Emirs all over the country without giving thought to where they get so much money to throw around. Then when these people who have paid to successfully rig the elections emerge winners and begin to selfishly collect back their campaign expenses and more from our collective commonwealth, we begin to cry fowl not knowing that we are reaping the fruits of our negligence. .(To be continued)
