There is no doubt that Willie Obiano has given a good account of the three years he has spent so far developing Anambra. Although many people quickly refer to infrastructural accomplishments as bridges and roads which Willie Obiano did so much within these three years despite the nationwide recession. I am more thrilled by his exploits in agriculture and using it to create gainful employment for youths who would otherwise have gone into crime. Rice, Sorghum are now grains produced in Anambra. Same effort has continued in poultry, fish farming, and other aspects of animal protein production for affordable food prices. I also don't want to mention his laudable achievements in primary, secondary and tertiary education including infrastructural development of the state university and the setting up of a second state university "Nwafor Orizu University of Education, Nsugbe" (NOUEN). His exploits in health sector with the upgrade of Ontsha General hospital into a State Specialist hospital, Full accreditation of the state university teaching hospital and building of 30 general hospitals in smaller towns in the state to improve healthcare and disease control in the state. Little wonder that inspite of Lassa Fever, Cerebral Meningitis, Cholera, diarrhea, among other communicable diseases that broke out in many states of Nigeria, Anambra was able to remain disease free and contained the few cases that happened in the state.

Those APC goons campaigning against no elections in Anambra through cleverly manipulating some IPOB members to stop elections have never said Obiano has failed. Instead, they say they are discouraging people to come out to vote. Their simple strategy being to use their own imported thugs from APC states to rig the Anambra polls. Let me state that Willie Obiano is not an average Nigeria politician. Before Peter Obi and Willie Obiano, Anambra recorded last in ALL development indices and was a den of criminals. Today, you cannot mention anything positive from economic growth to education to positive health outcomes without Anambra being in among the first 10 states! It is an impressive achievement!! So STOP peddling falsehoods that nothing has changed in Anambra for decades. We all know it is a big lie.

Part of the problem with Nigerians is refusing to participate and expecting things to magically change. I wonder how you can win a tournament match such as FIFA World cup if you simply decided not to play a match outside of FIFA rules and regulations.

Now apply the above analogy to boycotting an election where the rule does not say a Governorship election should in anyway affect how Nigeria is run. The law clearly allows the appointment of sole administrators to run states where an election is not possible. Perhaps Nnamdi Kanu is insensitive to this issue because he isn't from Anambra, but people from there who had seen schools closed for one due to non-payment of salaries and complete collapse of every infrastructure in the state will never wish to return to such nightmarish situation. Especially if their sacrifice will be meaningless in bringing any sort of change nationally unless it is perfomed simultaneously in 12 states and in a Presidential election.

Now to the plot by APC to somehow engineer a poor voters turnout so that people they hired from other states can vote and rig their former university cult leader into the Governor. We already know that only APGA selects the best candidates to rule any part of Igboland. The other parties for some strange reasons select the worst criminals and anti-social elements from Igboland to foist on Igbos as their leaders.

The so called IPOB plan to boycott gubernatorial Anambra elections was an unfortunate misunderstanding of what the constitution says. So it was ill thought out and flawed from the start. You have got to do things within what is possible within the law. There is NO WHERE in Nigerian constitution where it said if you failed to vote in a gubernatorial election, it would amount to any sort of constitutional issue for the country.

Nigeria's 1999 constitution did say that to become a PRESIDENT of Nigeria, you MUST have 25% of the votes in 24 STATES. This clause means that if you can prevent elections from holding in 12 or 13 states, you will create a constitutional problem that will make it impossible for anyone to be declared PRESIDENT based on the constitutional provision. To achieve No election in 12 states out of 17 states in southern Nigeria will require concerted collaboration between Afenifere, Ohaneze and other socio-political groups. Anambra ALONE cannot cause such national effect even in a Presidential election talkmore the misguided campaign to boycott a gubernatorial election.

I'm 100% sure APGA will win, APC doesn't exist in Anambra, they are hoping to rig on election day.

What vexes me most is that the same people shouting "Ibos go back to your place and ask for good leaders are the ones so bitter when they see a performing leader like Willie Obiano. They want to fill the southeast with university cultist leaders as Nwoye who will mindlessly agree to loot the state to fund their APC campaign in 2009. Since Amaechi is no longer Governor, instead of them to look for a northern state to use in funding their evil agenda, they prefer to use Police and army to rig themselves into a poor southern state to loot their resources for the evil men.

Anambra people are completely out to guard their votes taking videos of the whole proceedings at every polling station so that those hoping to change results in INEC office in Abuja using Police and army will have a nice day.

Willie Obiano has performed excellently in spite of the recession in the country. Anambra has gradually improved impressively under his watch. In a normal country, he wouldn't even need to campaign at all because his numerous achievements speak for him. But Nigeria is not a normal country, so APGA must be vigilant to the end.

Exactly! They are hoping to rig using Police and army. I am happy Anambrarians have fully mobilized to video the whole process in every polling station and record the results too.

Watch out for them posting army and Police at polling stations to say nobody can come in with a phone grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

You know APC is only concerned how to send Python dance and other killers to intimidate innocent people. But they will fail in their attempt to rig the Anambra elections since the people already understand what they are up to. Their hope is to rig themselves into Anambra and use the little funds used for salaries and infrastructure improvements to fund their relection in 2019. Why can't they use funds from Kaduna and other states that benefitted heavily with brand new airports, Abuja-Kaduna railway projects completed and many massive federal roads there completed. Those are the states that should be funding APC relection in 2019 and not states like Anambra where they refused to spend even one penny to repair an old road, talk-less of building new roads or new railway lines as they have done in those northern states.

I don't know what you guys are talking about, all I know is that me, myself and I are voting Obiano back to back come November 18th.
Anybody not happy with that like one PDP guy who was just interviewed on Odenigbo FM can still head for River Niger, not too far.
APC is worse, getting a former cultist as its aspirant, one chance fall on APC.

Sometimes it's great when you make an intelligent projection based on evidence and trends on the ground and it comes out to be true.

I think we should open a thread on 2019 elections and what has happened since 2015.
