With the likes of APC strong governorship contenders which include the current Special Adviser on Political Matters to President Muhammadu Buhari Senator Babafemi Ojudu, the current Minister for Solid Minerals and former Governor of Ekiti state Dr. Kayode Fayemi, former Governor Segun Oni, Abiodun Aluko who it is speculated may move to Action Democratic Party-ADP the Mega party and former member Federal House of Representatives Bimbo Daramola the road is clear in 2018 for the new occupant of OKE BARIKE Ekiti state seat of political power.
