I don’t know that a 90 year old man still has any ego left. I strongly think Mugabe should take the resignation offer and step down so that he can still gain the privileges accrued to him as an elder statesman. Impeachment devoids him of such privileges.

Constitutionally he still remains the president but he has lost a lot of goodwill internationally, that’s why the international community is not responding to the situation in Zimbabwe. To them it means good riddance to bad rubbish. I also think the military is handling the situation very well. Still giving Mugabe his due respect as the president.

Mugabe must drop his ego and negotiate effectively for his resignation. He must consider the safety of his wife and family in his negotiation terms else upon his death, there may be reprisal attacks on his family.

You can't cry more than the bereaved. Zimbabwe is from Southern African region, so they(Southern Africa) should handle the issue. .
