The Federal Government has been urged to swing into action to complete the mausoleum in honour of late Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe.

The wife of the late Sage and nationalist , Professor Uche Azikiwe made the call at the six Zik Lecture Series at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University , Awka.

Professor Azikiwe who decried the failure of the Federal Government to complete the project, twenty one years after the death of the first President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, said there is need to complete the project as it is the only way to preserve his legacies.

She lamented that every year money is budgeted for the project, yet no meaningful progress has been made on the project and thanked all who took it upon themselves to ensure that the Zik's Lecture Series is being held yearly.

Maka gini? Why federal govt? What are the state govts doing? What are Zik's children and relatives doing? What are the children of his political associates doing? What are the prominent businessmen from the SE doing? Why can't they renovate the place and complete the mausoleum? Instead, they are busy developing other parts of Nigeria, and buying towers in Eko Atlantic. Shame!!

If federal govt does not finish up this mausoleum, IPOB should do it, nah! What are they waiting for?!
