Tecno Phantom 8 Vs Infinix Zero 5 – Which Should You Buy? by enny66(m): 6:54pm On Nov 27, 2017
When thinking of mid-range mobile phones in the Nigerian market, two brand names come to mind – Infinix and Tecno mobile. These two mobile phone manufacturers have consistently rolled out high quality and totally sophisticated devices over the past couple of years – little wonder these brands have the highest acceptance rates in the Nigerian market.
This year, both brands released revolutionary flagships preceded by great media buzz and marketing campaigns. Tecno Phantom 8 was released at a glamorous unveiling gala in Dubai last October. The device raised the bar so high; it scored Tecno so many points one could almost say the competition had been determined. However, Infinity mobile – makers of the Infinix brand – would not be outdone. They quickly announced the release of their latest flagship Infinix zero 5 with enticing specifications and sleek design.
We take a look at these two very different yet similar products from two of Nigeria’s most loved mobile phone brands.

At 159.9mm by 79.5mm by 7.9mm, this beautiful work of art fits effortlessly into the palms, thereby giving it a very personal feel. The home key located in the front is flanked by two basic navigation keys. Also, the fingerprint sensor is situated at the back of the phone just beneath the cameras for easy access. The Phantom 8 by Tecno is “beautifully and wonderfully made”.
The Infinix zero 5 comes at 6 inches with narrow but visible bezels and a polished plastic back cover. There is a wide range of colours to pick from. Considering this phone is, it rather hard to speculate on its design, as the manufacturers have only been teasing the public with sneak peeks of the device.
However, considering previous efforts by Infinix in previous Zero models, it is hard to see how this device beats the Phantom 8 when it comes to design.

Love these devices. Both are not miles apart In specs and design. But I'll give it to the Phantom 8. The sleek diamond fire design stands out. And the camera is exceptional.
