4. His friend, who also want to make another million naira with you, can’t afford to pay his bike man.

Most likely, you were eager to make a sale and was blindsided...that is a weakness you must work on. Don’t loose the sense of all checks and balance because you want to net the next breakthrough.

I can relate. The same thing happened to me, I paid for the drinks/meat and my galaxy S4 left with him. Before then, I didn't know I could be fooled. It can happen to anyone, one just need to be careful, don't think you're too smart to be scammed.

He then orchestrated a situation that saw me leaving the phone with him for a few minutes and he removed the 8gig memory I had paid him for and which he had already inserted and replaced it with a 2gig memory card. Apparently, he reckoned that once I got home I'd package the phone and take it to DHL or Edobor Line. When I found out at home that the memory was 2 and went to see him, he pretended he didn't know and I pretended to believe him. For me, lesson learnt about leaving your phone with someone for a second.

The lady was too greedy for money and ended up losing her phone. Why not gave him the 500 naira to buy recharge card of 200 naira in the first place instead of you giving your phone. Lesson don't miss business with pleasure.

Yes but you still give people benefit of the doubt until they prove otherwise. In lagos, you ask somebody time, they will grab their private and run away or look at you somehow. Ive had an auntie beaten up and called kidnapper just because she asked for directions from maybe a 15 year old girl that was now leading her to the location. Our society is becoming something else. I, personally can legitimately not have cash on me or run out of minutes on the phone and will might be needing assistance for now, now, now until i reload.

Habaaa chairman, he already mentioned that he is not supporting the thief. Why the curse naa. I personally feel sorry for the thief. He is the scum of the earth. His life is so useless, that he had to pull a stunt like this to survive. Can you imagine what he will be doing now? planning another one and people like that are useless completely. Its always easy come easy go. he might even sell that phone for 10k and before you know it its all gone and he is back to square one. Why wish him death? I wish he was caught and sent to jail maybe he will learn, that is all the other guy is saying and not wishing him death.
